I actually somewhat like the deal, I think acquiring a player like Simmonds would help the Oilers because they have to many soft players. I don't think it would have to cost them Eberle though.

wayne scores just as much as eberle does and is a giant physical player something you guys (edm) do not currently have. I actually think this trade is good for both teams. You guys need a tru power forward. I would take this and run if edmonton. Also philly needs defense and justin is an upgrade on their second pairing. This trade actually makes sense.

Simmer doesn't even make 4M and Eberle makes 6 while not even possessing the physical aspect that Simmonds does.
