MTL: Galchenyuk

OTT: Ceci

Interesting.

2.) 16 Jun 2017 12:17:02
I would not do this if i'm the Habs. Chuck is worth way more than Ceci in my opinion. I know that Chuck couldn't exceed expectations but I would let him Play centre (maybe with Drouin on his wing) for a full season and then decide. SP I would give up on him just yet.

3.) 16 Jun 2017 12:19:08
Cant see Habs wanting to trade another high calibre player in own division. I think i'd want a little more coming back with Ceci.

4.) 16 Jun 2017 12:35:12
Don't think this really works for either team. Ottawa would fill one hole and create another, and Wideman definitely is not capable of playing top-4.

Montreal already has Weber and Petry on the right-side, why would they trade Chuck for a 3rd pairing defenceman?

5.) 16 Jun 2017 12:53:32
Cici isn't great. No from habs.

6.) 16 Jun 2017 13:11:22
I agree with Swiss, let him play center for a full season and then decide. Even #2 center, bring in Big Joe or someone that can play #1.

7.) 16 Jun 2017 15:24:49
McRazzle, for Ottawa they might lose a top 4 for nothing.
For Montreal Ceci would play before Petry, and I do agree with you guys saying that Galchenyuk shouldn't be traded just yet, but there's a lot of talk about him, and if he's going to go, I think that the **Center piece** of the trade coming back could be a guy like Ceci.

8.) 16 Jun 2017 15:33:54
I'd much rather them trade a LHD (Methot/ Phaneuf) then because Chabot and Claesson can both come into the top 4 much more easily than Wideman imo.

9.) 16 Jun 2017 16:06:34
I agree with that, but let's say you trade Methot and lose Claesson in the expansion draft, that becomes a really skinny left side, where as on the right you won't be losing two players.

10.) 16 Jun 2017 17:11:42
Galchenyuk is more valuable than ceci.

11.) 17 Jun 2017 18:12:13
Some people think that because 1 team wants to get rid of someone they don't want, the other team will want their unwanted and get value. Why would the Sens want someone who is moody and plays when he wants to play only. Ceci is at least a team player. Besides, more teams are interested in Ceci than in Chucky. Don't get me wrong I like both players and I'm a Hawks fan. I don't think Habs and Sens would trade to each other.

12.) 18 Jun 2017 00:17:45
Ottawa would have to add something else in the deal.

19 Feb 2017 18:04:52
PHI - Myers, 1st, Del Zotto, Cousins

COL - Duchene

Colorado is asking too much. Myers would've been a 1st rounder in 2016 if the Flyers hadn't signed him.

minkl11

1.) 19 Feb 2017 18:50:32
Myers + Provorov + 1st is what that would expect. 3 high end pieces with one being an established dman (provorov) or 4 high end pieces if they don't get a provorov.

2.) 19 Feb 2017 19:36:17
Both these requests are silly to be nice. NOT giving up that much for a streaky scorer, who's reported to have diva issues.

3.) 20 Feb 2017 01:15:35
Who has "diva" issues?
Never once heard his about Duchene, kinda heard the opposite actually.

4.) 20 Feb 2017 01:53:15
I agree the asking price for Duchene is really high but that's what you get for an elite player. And ya where are you hearing he's a diva.

5.) 20 Feb 2017 13:29:37
My trade is based on Colorado not having everything their way. There's no way that anyone will match their asking price. I think value was this could get it done once the price slightly drops.

6.) 21 Feb 2017 22:15:53
Mc. Duchene is not an elite player that is insane to even think or say that. he is above average at best they have decent talent in Colorado and he is not rising above the level to show he can take the team on his back. so again tell me why he Avalanche think they can get what they are bc supply and demand and that is the only reason other wise they hold on to him until draft and trade him for a lot less than what they are currently asking.

7.) 23 Feb 2017 03:03:29
Myers is 2/ 3 years away. Del Zotto is a UFA at end of year. 1st rounder in a bad draft. Cousins is a player.
No way Colorado would take this. In effect it's Cousins, Myers and a mid round first. Just not enough.
If they really wanted Totake a run at Duchesne, it would take something like:

1 of Morin, Sanheim, Myers
Carter Hart
Ghost
Cousins
Konnecy
1st round pick
At a minimum. U got to remember the Avs are getting offers from everybody. They would probably start with asking for Provorov, which is a complete non starter. I'd love to get him, but tooooo expensive.

12 Jan 2017 04:47:02
To Ottawa: Andrew Ladd
To NYI: Bobby Ryan, 3rd

Both need a change.
NYI is getting more value in my opinion, Ladd being 2 years older and having the longer contract he will continue to underachieve. But Ottawa is very cheap and he would fit very well with the new coach there.

Ryan would play with JT who I think is the perfect center for him. They are two very similar players even though Tavares is much more succesful.

minkl11

1.) 12 Jan 2017 06:16:11
Why would Ottawa want a worse contact than Ryan's? This change would not help Ottawa at all. Never mind the pick.

2.) 12 Jan 2017 13:12:40
If Ottawa is very cheap (which they are), why would they want the longer contract and give up a pick? Literally makes no sense for them.

3.) 12 Jan 2017 23:14:16
Go look at the way Andrew Ladd's contract is shaped up per year.

4.) 12 Jan 2017 23:21:14
And considerable money like that is valued a lot by Ottawa, look at what they gave up to not pay the Rangers the 2 millions they had already payed off Brassard's contract.

08 Jun 2016 14:46:01
Ottawa gives: Curtis Lazar

Dallas gives: rights to Jason Demers, 2017 2nd

This is simple: Dallas is very thin on the right wing and they can't re-sign all 5 D's waiting for a contract (all 5 are in top 7).
Might as well get something, and here they get something very good even if it costs a 2nd.

Now Ottawa is strong on Lazar and he'd be a hard piece to move, but I don't believe anyone could argue that they need Lazar more than they'd need Demers right now. Sign a free agent winger I don't know, make it work, but this would be a good possible addition. And Dorion would love the 2nd (he's from a scouting background) .

minkl11

1.) 08 Jun 2016 15:09:57
You do realize Demers is a UFA.

2.) 08 Jun 2016 15:16:13
I can see this happening lazar is a very good 3rd liner who can bring energy in a game I think a 3rd rounder would work though.

3.) 08 Jun 2016 15:39:28
1 ottawa is set on d

2 why would you trade a promising prospect for a ufa.

4.) 08 Jun 2016 16:37:36
Yeah Ottawa is 200% rejecting this.

5.) 08 Jun 2016 18:47:00
They'd have a better shot at signing him if they'd get his rights before july 1th and I think you guys are undervalueing the 2nd round pick here. Ottawa isn't set on D. top 4 goes solid, 1 plays bad or gets injured and its over. I'm not the only one saying they might need another defense.

6.) 08 Jun 2016 19:30:03
Ya, Ottawa can use another Dman, every team could use another dman tbh, but:

Ottawa is not giving up a promising prospect for a 2nd and signing rights. There is just no way. Lazar fits a need down in the bottom 6 and is on a ELC that Ottawa has to have due to budgetary purposes.

Also the Cap looks like its going down this year and on top of that Demers is looking for a pay day and will probably sign for $4+. Ottawa can't afford to pay that to a guy that will be on the bottom pairing of their defense. Ceci's contract is also up and will be resigned for somewhere around that amount as well.

7.) 08 Jun 2016 20:43:05
Just because he's from a scouting background doesn't mean the pick has more value!

8.) 10 Jun 2016 18:17:31
Like it's been said above, Ottawa won't pay $4mil for a bottom pairing Dman. They do need better defensive depth, but with Chabot coming up very soon they would only need a bottom pairing RHD, which they could sign for much less than Demers. Lazar doesn't have a ton of offensive upside, but he's a great role player and has a solid personality. Intangibles.

06 Jun 2016 02:48:50
OTT gives - NYI 2016 3rd, 2017 4th, Chiasson

PHI gives - Philippe Myers.

Any guesses on what the ANA/VGK deal could be ?

minkl11

1.) 14 Jun 2017 06:04:56
A pick to not select Manson.

2.) 14 Jun 2017 21:16:36
2nd rounder+ prospect like Petterson, Kossila, Kerdilles. Can't imagine any of Steele, Jones, Montour or Theodore moving.

3.) 14 Jun 2017 21:25:49
Prob someone like larsson or a player like kerdilles.

13 Jun 2016 19:35:00
Not a leafs fan, but how would people react if they drafted Gustavsson and Hart at 30/ 31?

minkl11

1.) 13 Jun 2016 20:03:52
I'd be fairly dissapointed but it's better then Fredrick Andersson.

2.) 13 Jun 2016 23:39:45
I mean they don't have a lot of depth at that position but I would prefer them to take a defenceman like Niemeläinen, Dineen or Johanson at that spot and hopefully nab up Parsons with the late 2nd.

06 Jun 2016 21:48:33
Ottawa gives: Borowiecki + 42th overall

Philadelphia gives: Philippe Myers.

minkl11

1.) 07 Jun 2016 00:39:28
No from Philly.
