Can the Sens offer you enough assets to acquire the wilds 9th overall pick?
Start off with 28th pick, 33rd, L.Brown...etc
3rd overall (stutzle/byfield)
5th Raymond
9th Askarov
Pipe dream I know.
I feel the wild would be open to offers on that pick more then other teams. Maybe provide cap relief also.
Like to see what you would offer up for the 9th pick?

Apparently Wild were very interested in Kapanen before he was dealt to Penguins. A must for the leafs in the trade was a 1st rounder. It was reported Bill Guerin said they’re getting younger and that pick was not up for grabs, so Leafs got 15th+ a prospect from Pens instead.
Obviously for the right package (especially a pkg of young players) his mind could change, but I really don’t think they want to trade that pick.
But who Really knows?

Ottawa doesn't need the 9th, and they aren't going to rob their prospect pool to get it. They have 3 and 5 already.

Islanders: Pulock, Ho-Sang, 6th round pick
Ottawa will stock up on prospects to help them in the furture and not chance losing a D-man at the expansion draft.

Stars and islanders can't hang up the phone fast enough. Methot is a zero flash solid D. But teams don't give up prospects with high level potential for that. Stars had kris Russell and let him walk. Could have just kept him for methots money and not given up Honka to do it.

Ottawa is trying to make the playoffs, not rebuild. They actually have a pretty strong top four going into this season. This trade proposal would set them back severely.

Ottawa won't do this. First off for the trade, it's highly unlikely that Ottawa trades a couple roster pieces (including a guy in Lazar they really like) for a pick and nothing else back.
Second, why would Ottawa sign Demers to be on their bottom pairing at $4 mil a year, especially when they have an internal budget and are hesitant to pay Hoffman what he's worth. Not to mention they wouldn't be able to sign Boedker either with their internal cap.

Fowler is not worth 5-9. He's a second pairing dman behind Lindholm.

He's a 2-3 if you don't watch ducks games I understand. Fowler was our number one most of the year. I am not saying he is a number one but he is definitely worth that pick.
