Habs: Orlov

Caps: Fleury, 2nd round pick , and Leihkonen.

Value is there. Make sense because Montreal wants another D and Washington has cap issues but I feel like Montreal would rather trade a 3rd than a 2nd.

2.) 21 Oct 2019 00:56:13
Of course they’d rather trade a 3rd then a a 2nd LMAFO. Orlov is criminally underrated Carlson provides the offence on the blue line Orlov provides the defence.

Wild: Brook, 2020 first round pick, and 2nd round pick:

Habs: Dumba.

Any thoughts out there?

Wgmj68

1.) 17 Oct 2019 20:47:22
Take out the second and add Drouin, Domi or Kotkaniemi. Otherwise there's no reason for the Wild to consider it.

2.) 17 Oct 2019 21:09:24
Why so many dumba proposals? Is there rumors they are shopping him? Otherwise there is no reason to trade him or have to be a crazy overpayment.

3.) 17 Oct 2019 21:37:23
Minnesota is off to a horrible start thus the dumba proposals .

4.) 17 Oct 2019 22:24:33
How much did Trouba get traded for? I don’t think defensemen are worth what you might think they are. This trade would go a long way in helping restock Minnesota’s prospect pool. If they do it right, we should expect a few trades like this from them.

5.) 18 Oct 2019 14:53:57
There have been talks that Dumba could be available since like last offseason. It’s not just because Minny is off to a bad start, but it helps push it.

6.) 18 Oct 2019 15:55:24
Montreal Canadiens will not give his 1st round pick reason:
the nhl 2020 draft is in Montreal.

7.) 19 Oct 2019 12:33:01
Revised proposal:

MTL: Dumba

Wild: Brook, 2 second rounders, and 2020 first round pick.

I think this proposal is definitely more appealing.

Habs: Taylor Hall

NJ: Poehling, 2 second round picks, and Romanov.

1.) 11 Oct 2019 15:28:12
I truely don't know the value of Hall. He gets hurt a lot and is an upcoming UFA this summer. That said when he is in lineup he looks amazing. Imagine him on either of the top 2 lines in montreal. theyd really start looking like a contending team even more than they do at this moment. Star power does go a long way when its crunch time.

im sure Jersey fans would want Poehling along with another top end prospect plus a few 1st rounders just the same as Habs fans would love this offer.

From the outside looking in i'm thinnking it would take a little more than the offer being presented but less than the offer i'd presented for Jersey Fans

Add something a bit more entising than this offer and i'm sure both fan bases would be happy.

very good target for Montreal. well done.

2.) 11 Oct 2019 15:25:39
Why does new jersey do this.

3.) 11 Oct 2019 17:06:59
Hall may have an injury history and be a pending UFA but he's also a former Hart trophy winner and a 1st overall pick. His value would still be much higher than 2 2nd rounders and 2 high prospects.

4.) 11 Oct 2019 19:27:16
Hall won’t get moved unless the devils are garbage at deadline.

5.) 12 Oct 2019 02:41:59
Hall isn't going anywhere unless NJ has no hope of re signing him. I don't think he is even worth that deal as a rental right now. To a contending team? Maybe. The Habs may bite on that because it probably outs them above or on par with the leafs and bruins instantly as long as he stays healthy but NJ brought in a bunch of guys to try and convince hall to stay. They won't let him go right now unless they are A garbage at deadline or B unable to resign him and are offered a good package.

6.) 12 Oct 2019 02:48:25
Sounds like a lot to be giving up for a UFA. Montreal won’t risk derailing their rebuild to gamble on a single player. Even one as good as Hall.

7.) 12 Oct 2019 03:32:27
NJ is not a contending team. They might make playoffs this year, but realistically, they are not contenders. That being said, neither are Montreal. Furthermore, Hall doesn’t make either team a contender either. He makes each team better, yes, but not contenders. He played with more talent in Edmonton and couldn’t make them contenders. Montreal won’t want to bring him in as a rental. So you can forget this deal. If Jersey can’t re-sign him long term before deadline, they should trade him regardless of where they stand, though they might just use him as their own rental if they are in playoff position at deadline.

8.) 18 Oct 2019 03:12:07
That's a lot for a Rental player.

Habs: Horvat and Stecher

Canucks: Drouin, Weber and first round pick.

Wgmj68

1.) 08 Oct 2019 16:20:46
Horvat isn't great, but he's worth more than that entire package from Montreal on his own.

2.) 08 Oct 2019 16:29:29
I'd rather keep Weber, Drouin and the 1st.

3.) 08 Oct 2019 16:43:08
Both teams say no. Montreal first. Weber way too important to that team. Him and Price are keys to their success right now.

4.) 08 Oct 2019 17:29:13
Um what. Vancouver easily says no. Do some research on Horvat.

5.) 08 Oct 2019 17:29:23
I keep saying it. sounding like a broken record, but don't give up on Drouin yet. and I agree with what Yupp says.
Also, that 1st round pick, pretty sure will be another lottery pick.

6.) 08 Oct 2019 19:59:37
And Vancouvers D is looking pretty nice with Edler/ Myers and Tanev/ Hughes. Trading their second line center and leader when their center depth isn’t that nice for a D they don’t really really need. They would have way too big a hole and weakened at center if they did this. And Montreal would have way too big a joke at D if they did this.
Both team says no. This is not a well thought out trade for team needs at all.

7.) 08 Oct 2019 20:27:35
Where do the nucks get the salary cap space from?
Not even close to realistic talent wise, value wise, cap wise AND Habs give a first round to boot?

Not even tweakable to make this realistic.

8.) 09 Oct 2019 03:52:02
Memarcusjoe gets more full of rubbish with every post.

9.) 09 Oct 2019 01:20:04
If Habs don't make playoffs this season and go on a deep run, expect Weber to request a trade next summer. He recently stated that he'd like a serious shot at winning the cup before he's done playing. I believe Price iterated the same sentiment recently. Both of their windows are closing rapidly. So, now would be a good time to trade either or both players and get a decent return.

Drouin has the potential to be better then Horvat so no from Mtl.

07 Oct 2019 00:55:11
Habs: Nugent Hopkins and Puljaarvi

Edm: Drouin,2 round pick, Lindgren, and Brook.

Any comments out there?

Wgmj68

1.) 07 Oct 2019 02:15:29
Edm says no thanks. Pretty easily.

2.) 07 Oct 2019 02:54:05
Really yup? Rn Pul is worth to other teams probably about a 3rd maybe a 2nd. So you are saying Drouin plus brook is worth less than nuge who has 1 more year and will probably want 7+ million? Lindgren is a throw in and would be the 3 G on any team so I see no appeal for that. But tbh I think value is fair needs are what is off for both teams.

3.) 07 Oct 2019 05:14:00
Yeah CTC55, Drouin and Brook is a pretty easy no from the Oilers for Nuge IMO.

4.) 07 Oct 2019 05:20:31
No I’m more so saying Nuge is too valuable to the Oilers and they shouldn’t trade him for a winger in my opinion, a winger who gets less points too. I really want them to keep Drai Mcdavid and Kassian together and Nuge is a great second line Center and I hope him and Neal can develop some chemistry for some secondary scoring they need. I like Drouin, and would be awesome to get him to play with Nuge and Neal, But I wouldn’t trade. I’ve for him, nope. Futures don’t appease to the Oilers now either, their up and coming prospect pool is actually really promising.

5.) 07 Oct 2019 18:58:13
Ok that’s respectable and agree that Nuge and Drouin together would be insane. I just feel like Drouin doesn’t get enough credit on here with people saying he’s worthless almost and more wanted to hear a respectful reason why someone wouldn’t do a trade without fully trashing the other players.

6.) 07 Oct 2019 21:51:08
Agree with you CTC55 but I also agree Oilers should not trade RNH unless a team overpays for him.

7.) 08 Oct 2019 20:47:14
Biased towards the Habs.

Edmonton has a lot of good young up and coming goaltenders in the system already. More than they need, so no young tenders likely in any deal.

More realistic trade would look more like:

Puljarrvi Gagner Persson

Drouin + 5th.

I would pull the trigger on this trade if I was the Habs GM. I doubt Sabres GM would though unless Habs add Leihkonen.

I like the above trade proposal. Habs receive a top 30 NHL player in his prime. Jersey receives 2 young prospects with excellent upside.

Here is another proposal:

Habs: Gotisbehere

Philly: Romanov, 2020 2nd round pick, and Hudon.
