Wsh: polak, parenteau
Tor: galiev, 2017 3rd maybe a 2nd

Is the value there?

Each will get Atleast 3rds but Idk who Galiev is but not bad.

2.) 12 Feb 2016 20:04:41
@bud galiev is a 23 yr old I believe he is a sniper who doesn't slot into the lineup bc of our top 6 but he put up good numbers last season with like 25-30 goals in the ahl.

Cgy: 2nd 2016, orlov, 4th
Wsh: Russell

Washington gets an orpik fill in/ great playoff depth guy who can be a defensive juggernaut with alzner, cgy gets a decent pick tho its probably a later 2nd, and a good 4/ 5 dman with good skating and offensive ability

Lemme know what you think.

Not orlov more like chorney or Schmidt.

2.) 10 Feb 2016 20:00:16
Chorney is just a journeyman success story and Schmidt doesn't rly have a name for himself but oh well.

3.) 10 Feb 2016 23:46:56
As a Flames fan I would do that. It's along the lines of what CGY might want for Russell; a couple of 2nds (Orlov was a 2nd round pick I believe) Although I'm not sure why WAS would want to deplete their depth by moving Orlov.

Ott: phaneuf, frattin, Bailey, Rupert, donaghey
Tor: cowen, michalek, greening, Lindberg, 2nd 2017.

It's an alright trade Toronto gets 7 mil for Stammer.

2.) 09 Feb 2016 20:07:03
Don't need stammer.

3.) 09 Feb 2016 20:10:46
I don't understand, where are all the 1st round picks?
Toronto should have gotten at least 6 of them for those players, no?

4.) 09 Feb 2016 21:03:21
Well Cohen and michalek WERE 1st rounders hahah

Idk where the other 4 are, maybe the reports aren't accurate or something.

5.) 09 Feb 2016 21:23:02
U guys laugh at the leafs but I think they have done a tremendous job offloading dion, kessel and Clarkson.

6.) 09 Feb 2016 22:21:41
No, we laugh at the leafs for SIGNING dion and clarkson to those contracts lol.

7.) 10 Feb 2016 00:15:34
Ya your right other teams don't give bad deals at all.

8.) 10 Feb 2016 00:16:03
And for starters another would have given it to him also if the leafs did not.

9.) 10 Feb 2016 01:22:44
Honestly I don't know why people click unbelievable when it is a trade that already happened. Either those people are not paying attention to hockey, and thus should probably not be posting to this site, or they are experiencing denial. Honestly people educate yourself before you post or hit unbelievable. Also, I think it was good for the leafs in the long term, and it could be good for ottowa too, because phaneuf won't have to be a 1 pairing guy, but then again, 7 million is a lot to pay for a 3-4 defender. I guess only time will tell.

May seem a little odd of a trade bc he was just waived but even though Washington would be wise to load up on depth on the defensive core it would also be wise to acquire another forward. So here's what I thought
Cgy: Raymond (retained)
Wsh: 2017 3rd and an okay prospect

Only reason it's a trade is because of Washington's cap issues currently if it wasn't that way I would've just said to pick him up on waivers.

Are you a caps fan? Surely there's no room for Raymond in Washington if Calagry doesn't even want him. Also probably too much unless Calgary retains 100%.

This trade is only if orpik isn't going to return anytime soon

Wsh: big buf
Wpg: djoos, galiev, 1st

Reason:
Most big name players traded fetch a 1st, a roster player, and a prospect.
Galiev isn't an ideal roster player bc he's bounced around the lineup but he still possesses high scoring potential and there's just no room for him in Washington. Also, he is still young and can grow.
Djoos is a B at worst C+ defensive prospect with decent potential to be at best a 3rd dman and at worst a 5th
Buf obviously bolsters the caps d-core for a cup run
The value may cut it close idk have at it, I tried.

not enough from caps.
djoos is too small for central div.
galiev. no goals in 13 games played. buff has as many as a defenseman.

2.) 02 Feb 2016 01:21:43
I think it's pretty good, but does it work for the cap? If not and wpg has to retain then wsh adds a bit.

3.) 02 Feb 2016 02:36:30
if Buff is ava. and orpik is out, you're right. The Caps are going all out for Big Buff to win the Cup.

4.) 02 Feb 2016 20:50:13
Who is djoos.

Yak hasn't played that bad this year, he'd probably do better on a different team. bc the oilers always have a way to screw talented prospects out of a good career.
