Calgary should really consider doing a full on rebuild. But complete it really fast starting this year and by next year they'll prolly gear up in free agency and get rid of dead weight and probably would've adapted to glutzens coaching game.

Calgary: Matt Stajan, 5th
New Jersey: 7th

Calgary: Ladislav Smid, Emile Poirier
Carolina: 5th

Calgary: Deryk Engelland
Arizona: 6th

Calgary: Dennis Wideman (50% Retained)
Boston: 3rd

Calgary: Lance Bouma
Florida: future considerations

Calgary: Mark Giordano
Montreal: Brendan Gallagher, Noah Juulsen, 3rd
(Montreal gets a legit number 1 dman to play with Weber) (two great leaders)

Cap space freed to sign Bennett

Lines to end the season look like
Gaudreau - Monahan - Gallagher
Tkachuk - Bennett - Brouwer
Versteeg - Backlund - Frolik
Ferland - Shinkaruk - Chiasson

Brodie - Wotherspoon
Jokipakka - Hamilton
Kylington - Kulak

At the end of the season, we lose Versteeg, Johnson, Chiasson but should resign them.

All those trades don't make Calgary better now or in the fut, weidman maybe to free up cap, but stajan is only been a minus player in 1/ 5 of his games, which is pretty good for a 3rd line guy.

2.) 29 Nov 2016 13:17:07
"They should do a full on rebuild, but complete it really fast". That's not a full on rebuild then lol lots of teams have attempted this and it has t worked well. Also, every team likes to dump dead weight, but usually when you need a full rebuild, your best players are older. Flames have a really good young core, just haven't put it all together. Any team would love to have monahan, gaudreau, Brodie, Bennett, tkachuk etc.

3.) 30 Nov 2016 14:19:34
Trading these guys for 5th, 6th, and 7th round picks is almost the same as giving them away for free. This post is pretty awful.

4.) 30 Nov 2016 23:39:08
Flames add all around.

29 Nov 2016 06:34:21
Calgary: Dougie Hamilton, Oliver Kylington
Montreal: Brendan Gallagher, 1st

Since people said Montreal adds on the last gally for Dougie trade then I add kylington to get that 1st rounder.

TradeHamilton

1.) 29 Nov 2016 15:31:18
Both teams are in dire need of top 6 forwards. Don't see Gallagher moving. Montreal really needs that 1st rounder as the Price contract payday is coming up and the entry level contract is a good player at a small cap hit for a few years. Habs have the #1 D-man in the draft in Sergachev coming up, so the need for Hamilton is greatly reduced next year.

2.) 30 Nov 2016 14:20:26
No from both, but definitely no from Calgary. That's their best RHD and their best RHD/ defense prospect.

29 Nov 2016 01:25:57
Montreal: Tomas Plekanec (25% Retained)
Minnesota: Jonas Brodin.

TradeHamilton

29 Nov 2016 01:24:45
Calgary: Dennis Wideman
Edmonton: Benoit Pouliot, 3rd

To take pouliot for 3 more years and Edmonton takes a RHD for 1 more year.

TradeHamilton

1.) 29 Nov 2016 06:17:45
I wish.

2.) 30 Nov 2016 14:23:28
The last thing Calgary needs is more cap problems and bottom 6 forwards.

29 Nov 2016 01:23:09
Florida: Nick Bjudstad, 2nd
Calgary: Dougie Hamilton.

Why is glutzen still apart of Calgarys organization? He's absolute trash. Shouldn't of fired Hartley. Plus I don't like trevling at all. He doesn't get anything done that needs to be. Like important trades or a good coaching staff ahaha. Wish we would've hired chiarelli but prolly would've traded gaudreau and signed lucic lol

TradeHamilton

1.) 29 Nov 2016 14:27:23
Give Gulutzan a chance. Calgary is starting to pick up. Also how can you say Treliving is trash. He acquired Hamilton and Elliot for just picks. Calgary needed defense and he he got Hamilton. They needed goaltending they got Elliot. They need Offense he gets Versteeg. You could argue that he hasn't got a top line RW but that is because the price is high and would cost a core player. Also he has Gaudreau and Monahan on great contracts. Also who are you to judge you pump out terrible Hamilton trade 10 times a day.

2.) 30 Nov 2016 18:55:22
^ That.

TradeHamilton you honestly need to do some thinking. He's a first time head coach and there'll be some growing pains. Also Treviling has been fantastic. Remember Jay Feaster?

3.) 01 Dec 2016 07:23:17
Not Gulutzen's fault that Elliott has been a fish out of water in net. Elliott has reverted to his Sens days when he couldn't win a game to save his life. In the mean time, Johnson put up 3 shutouts in his last 8 games. In neither case does Gulutzen enter into the equation. Johnson as a backup (who I wanted Chiarelli to get rather than Gustuvsson) has been excellent and is stealing the #1. The entire Flames squad needs to score more but even when they do they lose because Elliott can't stop a beach ball. I'd ride Johnson for the next month and see what happens before I'd even consider dismissing Gulutzen.

Rebuild if miss playoffs

Calgary: Michael Frolik
New Jersey: 1st, Sergey Kalinin

Calgary: Dougie Hamilton, Freddie Hamilton
Pittsburgh: Olli Maatta, 1st
(If they free up cap space)

Calgary: Deryk Engelland
Montreal: 5th

Calgary: Dennis Wideman (50% Retained)
Boston: 3rd

Calgary: Matt Stajan, Mason MacDonald
Carolina: 7th

Calgary: Lance Bouma
Arizona: 7th

Calgary: Alex Chiasson
Anaheim: 6th

Calgary: Mikael Backlund
Minnesota: Jonas Brodin, 3rd

Calgary: Mark Giordano
New York R: Pavel Buchnevich

End season after deadline like

Gaudreau - Monahan - Buchnevich
Tkachuk - Bennett - Brouwer
Kalinin - Versteeg - Klimchuk
Ferland - Jankowski - Poirier

Maatta - Brodie
Brodin - Jokipakka
Wotherspoon - Kylington

Going into the draft with 3 1sts, 1 2nd, 3 3rds, 1 4th, 2 5ths, 2 6ths, 3 7ths

Can easily make some good key trades.

I wish we could post memes on this page. Lol.

2.) 26 Nov 2016 02:01:45
OK, where to start? Let's go through this atrocity in order:

Trade 1: Frolik worth a 1st? You wish

Trade 2: Maatta =/ > Dougie. 1st >> Freddie. Again, you wish.

Trade 3: England is worth less than nothing. Isn't he a free agent after this season anyway?

Trade 4: I know wideman is a free agent, so you're not getting anything for him even if you retain half of the $0 that he would be owed at season's end.

Trades 5-7: Meh, whatever.

Trade 8: Adding to Brodin for Backlund? That's less likely than F. Hamilton being worth a 1st.

Trade 9: Where is NYR getting all this cap space from?

3.) 26 Nov 2016 02:52:18
These are all just so bad.

4.) 26 Nov 2016 03:11:34
Wow you highly over value everyone except maybe Wideman and chaisson.

23 Nov 2016 22:56:06
Anaheim: Simon Depres
Toronto: Peter Holland, 7th

Anaheim: Cam Fowler
Ottawa: Mike Hoffman

Anaheim: Ondrej Kase, Shea Theodore, Clayton Stoner, 3rd
Edmonton: Jordan Eberle, Griffin Reinhart

Anaheim: Andrew Cogliano, Nicholas Kerdiles, 1st, Brandon Montour
Calgary: Dougie Hamilton, Michael Frolik

Anaheim: Mason Raymond
Arizona: 7th

Hoffman - Getzlaf - Perry
Rakell - Kesler - Eberle
Frolik - Vermette - Silfverberg
Ritchie - Thompson - Garbutt

Lindholm - Vatanen
Bieksa - Hamilton
Reinhart - Manson.

TradeHamilton

1.) 24 Nov 2016 04:50:03
Reinhart is an AHL defenseman!

2.) 24 Nov 2016 05:54:54
This is all pretty damn bad! Wow.

3.) 24 Nov 2016 12:49:13
Wow every one of these is one sided for Anaheim.

Also none of the other teams accept these deals based on value and needs.

Ottawa needs scoring more than Anaheim.

Calgary needs Dougie and Frolik way more than the pieces being sent back.

4.) 24 Nov 2016 17:41:23
No way Calgary trades Hamilton for that pack of bums.

Duclair hasn't proved himself enough yet to get a return like Dougie. Plus him and domi are bestfriends so domi would be pissed off
