Pettersson devils
First overall draft jack Hughes Canucks

Jets 2020 first round pick, tanev and a 3rd in 2019

Canucks trouba

1.) 19 May 2019 22:25:49
Tanev is an UFA so he's a no go but the Jets would have to add Trouba plus and I still don't think this trade is enough from the Jets.

2.) 19 May 2019 23:28:51
Rather have Petterson.

3.) 19 May 2019 23:54:12
Sorry, that would be a no from Winnipeg on the Trouba trade.

4.) 20 May 2019 14:13:33
These trades were awful the first time you posted it, they still aren’t good now.

Pettersson is a phenomenal budding player and there is ZERO guarantee Hughes will be better, the Canucks have absolutely no reason to do this.

The Trouba trade is pretty good, Tanev is a still a great defenseman, the injuries just lower his value. If he can get on a better team like WPG where he’ll have to block less shots than his injuries will likely fall too. The first and third are nice extra value.

19 May 2019 15:25:24
Canucks first overall pick select Jack hughes
Devils Petterson

Canucks Seasbrook and 3rd overall draft byram

Hawks 10th overall pick Diepetro

Jets 2020 first rd pick, tanev and goldobin

canucks trouba

1.) 19 May 2019 16:20:42
Jets wouldn't do this trade.

2.) 19 May 2019 17:34:55
No thanks from Winnipeg.

3.) 19 May 2019 20:22:48
God no from Vancouver on the first one, Petey is a special player and there is ZERO guarantee Hughes will be better.

Again, a huge no from Vancouver, Seabrooks contract is even worse than Eriksson’s considering age, and his extended length and AAV.

As for the third one? Idk. Jets fans on here are pretty delusional in regards to what Trouba is worth considering he’s most likely going to leave as an RFA, and unless he guarantees that he’ll sign for a reasonable price with whatever team WPG trades his rights too, no one is going to want him.

I think he’ll get a replacement defensemen and either a first or a lower pick and a decent prospect. He definitely isn’t going to get the king’s ransom that Jets fans on here think he will.

15 May 2019 15:00:09
Blackhawks trade Brett seabrook and third overall for vancouvers 10th madden, Erickson and rights for tryamkin

1.) 16 May 2019 01:33:56
i don't see chicago moving down 7 spots to get rid of seabrook just to get an equally bad contract in erickson? i'm not familiar with madden or tryamkin so not sure how good they are.

2.) 16 May 2019 20:26:18
Holy ****, I don’t think Benning would EVER hang up on someone so fast as he would if the Chicago GM offered this. Seabrook makes more money than Eriksson and for two more years than his contract yet you want us to give up the 10th overall pick, Madden AND the right to Tryamkin to do you that favor? Get real, you’re delusional.

Considering how much worse Seabrooks contract is compared to Eriksson, Chicago would have to pay Vancouver to make that swap, not the other way around.

3.) 17 May 2019 23:43:36
Tryamkin is a throw in though. No guarantee he's ever back in north america.

4.) 17 May 2019 23:44:55
Madden is a tiny person so no guarantee he ever plays nhl, last I seen he's 150 pounds.

5.) 17 May 2019 23:55:13
Erickson could be a productive guy playing with toews and kane or debrincat and strome . I really like it but will never happen. Personally would rather have him than Seabrook. They paid Seabrook for what he's done but when he's close to 40 going to be easiest worst contract in the league. going to be a anchor for years. Erickson seems like he's either washed up or needs a change of scenery. I see Erickson being a guy that can reset. sesbròok is done.

08 May 2019 14:45:06
Jets Canucks 2020 first rd pick and tanev

Canucks trouba

Hawks Eriksson, 10 th pick and a 3rd

Canucks seasbrook 3 rd overall. Select Byram

Seasbrooks contract is a bad but would bring experience of three Stanley cups to the Canucks and Eriksson frees term and money for the hawks

1.) 08 May 2019 14:48:03
No thanks from Winnipeg. No interest in Tanev.

2.) 08 May 2019 15:56:52
Not a good return for Trouba.

3.) 08 May 2019 18:49:33
islandjet, what do you think he is going to get? Everyone knows the situation so I think the return of what jets get is not going to be market value. I think that's plenty for Trouba. Tanev maybe not the right fit but not going to get anymore value wise.

4.) 08 May 2019 20:36:49
Shootsmcgee The pundits say that a first pairing, right hand shot d-man who has at least 8 more prime years is worth a great return. I believe to the right team he could be worth a young #1 center or a #2 center plus a #1 draft pick. I could be wrong. I was the person who thought the Jets could get Hayes at the trade deadline for a #2 pick alone, boy was I wrong. Its a guessing game and when a trade happens there will be people who will say both sides overpaid. I've read that Detroit, Philly, Florida, Edmonton and even Toronto would love to have Trouba, but can they give Chevy the return he would want? Time will tell.

5.) 08 May 2019 23:33:50
Ya, agreed time will tell and draft would be the best time to trade him but every team knows that he either signs a 1 year contract with Winnipeg and lose him for nothing or trade him this offseason. From what I've heard is he wants to be on the east coast in America so limits teams taking a chance that he might not resign. Really think to get full value is a sign and trade deal. I was thinking islanders would be best bet.

6.) 08 May 2019 23:37:29
And Ryan Hartman got a first rounder so trouba should get a 1st rounder and some extra but not sure if it's a high 1st. If can get a top 8 pick + maybe a roster player or good prospect will be the price imo.

24 Jul 2018 15:39:37
Could there be a deal around tanev to the jets for triuba?

Canucks trouba

Jets tanev, sutter 50 percent retained and a 4th becomes a second if he signs

1.) 24 Jul 2018 16:41:13
Nope. Not close. Sutter is a fourth liner. You would have to add something more valuable to Tanev if you wanted to get the Jets attention.

2.) 24 Jul 2018 17:31:21
I can't see Van making this deal as they seem to be in a rebuilding mode and as good an addition Trouba would be the Jets would want some young pieces the Canucks would be foolish to trade.

3.) 24 Jul 2018 19:15:24
Don’t think it’s enough to get Trouba but as IJ said, doesn’t make sense for Canucks anyway. Trouba is only signed one year, Canucks aren’t ready to compete and if there’s any truth tonhim not wanting to be in a Canadian market, he definitely wouldn’t leave one of the top contenders for the Canucks.

4.) 24 Jul 2018 19:16:05
Everyone knows when trouba is a Ufa he's going to the east coast USA so only got control of him for this year and next, only nyi, nyr, philly, teams like this so they should be only teams looking at him if they want him more then a couple year rental and an expensive one.

5.) 25 Jul 2018 11:38:15
Tanev and Trouba are a lot closer in value then that Tanev have a down year like Faulk did he is still a goodbye dman.

6.) 25 Jul 2018 11:39:48
And sutter is better then little so he would play higher up in winn.

The Canucks go from drafting in the top three and now outside the five. Idiots in my opinion. They need to replace the sedins. They're not going to win a cup with this team.

1.) 05 Apr 2016 11:37:16
Not doing anything at deadline and now playing good enough at the wrong time to potentially play their way outside a top 3 pick. Not good for their rebuild at all.

2.) 06 Apr 2016 00:41:08
3 in a row baby! Making a late surge for the playoffs lol.

29 Feb 2016 21:27:34
How you grade Jim bennings two years in Vancouver

I would give him an F.

What are your thoughts.

1.) 29 Feb 2016 21:51:18

is there a lower grade? LOL.

2.) 29 Feb 2016 23:42:43
he's been pretty horrible. Him not moving any of the pending UFAs on his roster now is a total joke.

3.) 01 Mar 2016 02:32:13
I give Benninh an A+ made a great tactically decision in out Cracknell on waivers. As a long One Canucks fan I must say this, looking back at our team 3 years ago we had no you didn't prospects now since Benning took over we got Horvat (already was there), McCann, Virtanen, Boeser, Themko, Hutton. Idk not defending Benning but he has done some good although most is through drafting and has made some interesting moves.

4.) 01 Mar 2016 16:22:27
What about the kesler trade, moving Garrison out, acquiring Brandon Sutter, resigning Tanev, keeping Markstrom, acquiring younger players like Baertschi, Pedan and granlund (I'm one of the few people probably that actually liked that trade) . Do what if he didn't trade Hamhuis, he's better off staying here and help groom the next core of canucks players rather than trade him for Jokipakka (who looks like another depth defensman (which vancouver already had enough of) ) Brett pollock (who's a 60 PTS guy in the WHL) and a conditional pick that might or might not turn into something.

27 Jun 2015 03:40:02
Where was benning tonight? At the pub? Canucks still have lack and bieksa

1.) 27 Jun 2015 14:58:28
. ummm well now u have bieksa a third and a 7th LOL

15 May 2015 14:23:33
What would the oilers want for there first overall pick?

1.) 16 May 2015 01:40:33
top pairing defenseman, scoring winger, early 1st round pick

26 Apr 2015 18:23:06
I think it's time to rebuild the Canucks. This core can't perform in the playoffs. if the Sedins want to stay in Vancouver they need to take a pay cut. Thanks gillis for over paying them. At this time in there career they should be making 4.5 - 5 million per season. Start the rebuild Vancouver.

The sedins are great guys and good for the city of vancouver but the canucks have to make a desision now. They can't compete with the top teams. The sedins would make a good second line for a team making a playoff push but at 14 million combined it might be hard for a team to stay under the cap. I think vancouver should trade the sedins, vrbata, higgins, Richardson, Stanton, edler, and lack. not sure if they can trade miller. I think keeping hamhuis and bieksa would be good leadership for the young kids. In my opinion it's time to rebuild
