Ideal offseason for the oilers would be.
Draft second overall and select Patrick Laine
Resign Kassian 2years 1.25 million a year
Trade yak to Chicago for Andrew shaw
Trade Eberle and 2nd to New York for Hamonic
Trade pouliot and a 3rd to the ducks for Vatnen
Sign a bigger forward to step in for pouliot since he'll be gone, maybe Okposo if you could.
Allow nurse and reinheart To compete for nhl time in the ahl.
Bring up jujahr khaira.

It's a really good post!
Your only flaw, although it's a major one, is the Vatanen trade. You'll need a late first and a better player than Pouliot to get him IMO.

I'm a huge supporter of the oilers but I don't believe I'm biased. Oilers need a good 3rd line centre and a top 2 defencemen so here's what I think.
To Oilers: Mika Zibenajad
To Ottawa: Anton lander and 2nd round pick
To Oilers: Keith Yandle, Kevin Hayes
To NYR: 2016/ 17 first round picks jordan Eberle.

The First Trade I'll Say Change the 2nd round pick to a 5th, and the second one, the rangers add.
yandle And Eberle Are both some of the best players right now, but especially Eberle, and Yandle is A UFA at the end of the year. also, Eberle is Younger.
Hayes Is really Good, and he's only 23, but the oilers first round pick in 2016 Is a 1st or 2nd overall pick. and it might be up there in 2017 as well.
The Rangers Need To Throw In A lot, And also, they're not trading Hayes.

I would think the Sens would want Nugent Hopkins, a trade like that would go:
OTT: Mika Zibanejad, Jared Cowen, 2016 2nd, and 4th
EDM: Ryan Nugent- Hopkins, Andrew Ference
This gives Ottawa a terrific #3 centre (even though he's a number 2) and a better replacement for Ference with Cowen.

First trade shows bias towards Oilers, just because Zibs is def. going to be a solid 2nd liner for any team in the future; while Lander is struggling to be a depth guy. The second doesn't cut it. However, EDM doesn't need any more centers (RNH, McDavid, Drais) so really, no point for Oils, just no from OTT.
Second trade; again, EDM doesn't need a center for Hayes is a useless figure. Yandle isn't even worth Eberle, considering Eberles relative youth and the fact that he can be a game-changer. Adding in a first that is almost def. going to be top 10, makes that deal a huge NO from EDM.

It's pretty obvious that Edmonton needs a defensive player so this is a possible senario I've come up with.
To Edmonton: Kevin Shattenkirk, 3rd rounder 2016
To St. Louis: Eberle, Fayne, 2nd rounder 2016
Or
To Edmonton: Travis Hamonic
To NYI: Shultz, 2nd rounder 2016
Or
To Edmonton: Big Buff
To Winnipeg: Eberle, Davidson, 2nd rounder
My first post so please don't bash me to hard :) just some ideas because I've read that the oilers are linked to all 3 of these players.

First trade seems okay.
Second trade is nowhere near enough for Hamonic.
Third trade, seems like an overpayment for Buff, if it is clear he isn't signing in Winnipeg, it would probably take a first, a prospect and a roster player to get him.
I think either something like this:
Islanders:Hamonic, Okposo
Oilers: Schultz, Eberle, 2nd 2016
Or this,
Jets: Byfuglien, 3rd 2016
Oilers: Schulttz, 2016 1st, prospect
Would be good business, provided Edmonton is allowed to talk to Okposo in trade 1 and Buff in trade 2 about an extension before the trade.

@Bud yeah but I don't think the Blues would want to 1 . take on the contract of Fayne and 2. Trade Shats for Eberle straight up. Even if they improve draft picks.

Need to clear some room for young D. Niktin and Gryba are UFA's but Fayne or Ference should be moved.

He's 23 and only played 30 NHL games being bounced around all over the place. 5 points and +5 rating. got to give him a solid long chance And hopefully develops into a decent third pairing guy. Who knows. A right handed shot tho, which is what Oilers need more of, And maybe this means Shultz and or Fayne are being moved at deadline for something.

Although I like the thought of this trade I believe Ethan bear is a diamond in the rough and I think the oilers would be hard pressed to trade him away, maybe one of the other up and comings in the whl.
