I doubt it. Anything below 4 first round pick territory and the Leafs match. Anything above it is a pretty costly manoeuvre. Not saying he’s not worth four first rounders, but that’s a lot to think about.
Offer sheets for guys like Labanc, or Johnsson/ Kapanen (if they had not signed) seem more likely given the palatable price.
