After the Winnik trade I think there is a really good chance Jokinen is the only guy who gets traded at or before the deadline.

I don't see Lupul or Bozak moving before then bc of their contracts. Polak is a possibility but he's likely down other teams list a bit and is more valuable to the Leafs in house if the return is a mid round pick. Phaneuf and Kessel are huge long shots to move.

Im not sure that I agree with that there all still teams that could step up to the plate. Chicago, St Louis, Anaheim all have been sitting and watching so far while their competition adds. seeing what sekera got today is a good sign for the leafs if someone wants to move on Phanuef. lots of stuff could happen from now until deadline day.

I think that Jokinen would be the most likely to go given that he still could have some depth value although the best likely return would probably be a 7th round pick. I like what the leafs got back for Winnik. Polak could still be traded although the only team I could see him working in at this point would be tampa and a mid range pick (3rd to 4th round) would be the most likely.

I hear what you're saying. The reason I don't believe Phaneuf or Kessel will get traded at the deadline is because of their cap hits and term. Especially not to Chicago or St.Louis. In theory Anaheim could add Phaneauf, if Toronto took back/kept some salary, but again I don't know if teams are real eager to jump into that type of commitment.

@batrous - In terms of Polak, what I was saying above was that I think he's worth more to the Leafs as a veteran leader, than the value they would get from trading him (i.e a mid round pick). I would be tempted to jump on a trade if a team gave up a 2nd in this years draft but I don't see it happening.

Hasn't toronto retained the maximum number of contracts they can at one time now? For that reason I don't see Kessel or Phaneuf moving because they'd be hard enough to move without keeping salary to begin with it would be almost impossible to fit them to a team under the cap at the deadline without those teams shipping back salary and few teams have a lot of useless salary on players they don't need for their playoff run
