Any rebuilding team isn't trading a package for players aged 30+ if they're serious about building something.

Trouba will be an expensive buyout or will cost the Rangers sweeteners in any trade.

Struble shouldn't be included in any trade talk. Keep Evans as a 4th line penalty killer. He's really becoming a valuable player. Not quite ready to give up on Dach yet.

Matheson can be traded in to bring in youth. I like Zabinajad, but he's on the wrong side of 30 for me.
As much as this season has been a struggle and very frustrating, I think Habs still need to be patient.

Yah there's no need for the Habs to make any sort of blockbuster. They are still a ways from being contending again. Stay the path and draft well.

Only concern I would have as a Habs fan is Slaf's play. We're in year 3 (2.5 really), but he hasn't lived up to that first overall pick hype or pedigree. Tools are there for him to be a more physical version of Rick Nash, but for whatever reason consistency has been a big issue with him. If after next year he's still inconsistent I'd be getting very concerned as a Habs fan especially with his cap hit at $7.6mill next year; you want to see improve on his career high from last year not regress.
