ARI - Chychrun

What a trade could look like without having Broberg or Holloway in it. This is more of a quantity trade but also has value with two young players and two futures. Reclamation project in Puljujarvi, young physical bottom pair D in Niemelainen and obviously two first rounders.

I doubt that does it for Arizona. The mid firsts are nice, but JP sounds like he's heading back to Europe and bottom pairing defenseman are easy to find. I think Zona will look for a first and high end prospect minimum. Reportedly they're asking for more than that from what I hear.

What about looking at going after Edmunson or Ekholm of Nashville? Would be cheaper?

I don’t think Puljujarvi goes back to Europe without at least giving it a go on another team. He can definitely have a career in the NHL it just might not be in the top 6.

I think Ekholm would be a really good option too, it’ll just be harder to make work cap wise. I like the idea of getting a top 4 D with term so Chychrun and Ekholm are two good options.

The Oil also have Bourgault and Schiefer as recent first round picks. Bourgault is looking like he’ll be a top 6 winger and probably make the team next year.

I think Edmonton would have to part with either Broberg or Holloway. Something like 1st, Puljujarvi, Broberg/Holloway & Murray makes sense especially since Chychrun's value has been going up alot because of his performance this season.
