Spectar put out an article about Puljujarvi and said some NHL scouts would maybe give up a 2nd for him. He also said Puljujarvi wants out, I then seen a quote from a Finnish article and Puljujarvi himself said he wants to stay. Edmonton media pushing a young, cheap player with potential out of town once again. I’m gonna make a bold prediction and say he comes back next year and gets 25G 50P.

I Agree, he'll get 20-25+ Goals wherever he plays next season, especially if he stays in EDM or goes to CAR, CLB, NJD or NYR

Marner, Kerfoot, Puljujarvi, Holl and Barrie are seriously under valued around here while Chychrun, Josh Anderson, DeBrincat, Connor Brown and Nick Robertson are over valued.

Not fair to see a guys character get wrongfully tarnished by media with no accountability. Some real arrogant writers out there. I think his floor has already been proven to be a 15G+ 35P+, good defensively middle 6 winger worth 2.5 - 3.5M.

Spector is a hack for sure but that doesn't make Puljujarvi worth more. He could say some scouts would maybe give up a first round pick for Smith too but that wouldn't make it true.

Hopefully it’s not true. Don’t think it’s a smart move to trade him for a 2nd/ 3rd.

I don’t want Puljujarvi on the Flames, @MoxNix is right about his pouting and entitlement. Reminds me of Valimaki and Nylander, but I definitely agree he’s worth and the Oilers should hold out for more than a 2nd/ 3rd.

Listen to the guy do interviews, doesn’t seem entitled at all. He wasn’t developed the way he should have been and wanted a fresh start but that’s behind him and the organization after the past two seasons. I’d say the relationship probably isn’t great with how things have gone but definitely doesn’t mean he’s entitled.

I dunno why you keep saying Valimaki is pouty or entitled. A few hack writers spinning something in the worst possible light doesn't make it true. They're just looking to stir things up (controversy = more clicks/ read = more money for them) and based that entirely on one word (the word silly) from a quote cherry picked out of an interview translated from the original Finnish.

Just because a player says its silly he's back in the AHL doesn't mean he feels entitled or is criticizing management.

I figure all he meant was the situation he thinks the situation he's in now is silly and that's perfectly understandable. I'd find it silly too if I'd made an NHL team then got injured missed a year and wound up back in the AHL as a result.

Valimkai expects more NHL playing time and absolutely is frustrated that he’s down in the AHL. Doesn’t matter that he’s making the same money both places. These guys come to North America to become Stars and if not given the opportunity they usually pack up and head home.

While I believe Valimaki still has good potential, he’s been surpassed by Kylington & Mackey and hasn’t taken advantage of the opportunities he has been given, so whether I’m right or wrong about his attitude, he might get one more chance to change ppl’s opinions but we likely don’t need him anymore either way.
