Chicago Trades
PKane*
JToews*
CMurphy
90th Overall Pick 2022 (Leafs Pick)

Toronto Trades
WNylander
Muzzin
Holl
Mrazek
25th Overall Pick 2022

*Chicago retains 50% of both PKane's and JToews contract.

Chicago is dangling both PKane and JToews in a Trade as they are in full rebuild, getting WNylander and The Leafs 1st Round Pick is why they pull the trigger in my proposal, Muzzin and Holl can be used in future trades this upcoming season to get more prospects and or picks, Mrazek is the stop gap Goaltender for the next few seasons and he will be there #1 Goaltender.

Like The Raptors did a few years ago this is probably a one year gamble with PKane are JToews being on expiring contracts, but this would give both players a huge boost to not only play on a contender but showcase there next contracts, yes losing WNylander might be a mistake longer term, but this proposal makes Toronto much better, CMurphy is a solid Defenceman who would fit perfectly playing with Rielly.

Stop already. Every team you propose a Leaf trade with they have to retain money so Toronto can fit them under the cap. Besides once again this trade heavily favors the Leafs so Chicago says no.

Chicago is in a rebuild that's a fact.
PKane and JToews are on expiring contracts that will walk after this season, they aren't going to stick around for a rebuild.
Anyone trading for PKane and JToews Chicago will have to retain half of there salaries, otherwise no contender can afford them, again fact.
Chicago is getting WNylander and a 1st Round Pick, plus Muzzin and Holl who will have value by the trade deadline plus an NHL Goaltender, Mrazek had an off year with injury, he is a NHL Goaltender again fact.
This trade only favors Toronto for one season, long term rebuilding teams make trades like this, have you forgotten the trading of Kessel and than Phaneuf?

That’s a huge no from Chicago, and it’s not even close.
Kane @ 50% Retained > Nylander, Muzzin
Toews @ 50% Retained > Holl, Mrazek, 25th Overall

lol like atleast try not to be biased jeez. How does this make Chicago better? It makes Toronto better clearly but Chicago takes on a Top 6 F, Top 4 D, 6/7th Dman, Cap Dump and low first rounder while also retaining roughly 10MIL LMFAO

Love ya Pinball, but you keep pushing too similar of trades and 99.9% of the time in TOR’s favour. Like Renisrag says, not sure mine are any better, but let’s consider whether it makes sense for the other team and what their lineup looks like after, not just TOR’s.

Well if chicago got 2 1st rounders for Brandon Hagel, im guessing they'd want more than that for kane, especially retained 50%. That's just horrible. Pinball, rebuilding teams want picks and prospects, not old goalies, aging defenseman and 3rd lines players. Nylander is decent but why?
