With Chicago in full rebuild this type of proposal could and should be on the table, PKane is walking after next season and WNylander having 2 seasons being signed means having a top winger for an extra season, you also need a few veterans on a team when rebuilding, Muzzin and Holl do that, Chicago have no Goaltenders under contract and Mrazek gives them an NHL Goaltender, adding a 25th Overall Pick in a deep draft only helps the rebuild, Chicago with a ton of Cap Space have to take but half of his expiring contract to make it work.
I don't really need to explain why Toronto would do this as they are very close to winning The Cup so this is an all in situation.
