Chicago in full rebuild will be looking at adding more prospects and draft picks, this proposal does that, adding Kerfoot replaces DeBrincat on the Top 6, and with Chicago needing a Goaltender to hold the net until they get better, Mrazek will be the #1 Goaltender which he will be in Chicago.

Toronto looking to improve the Top 6 at LW do that huge with adding DeBrincat, the player they should have drafted in the second round in The Matthews draft year.

Come on Pinball, your deals always heavily favour Toronto but this is getting carried away.

Chicago gives up a 35 goal scorer on a good contract and for their trouble Toronto gives them two years of a cap dump goaltender, one year of an okay bottom 6 player, an NHL/ AHL tweener and a late 1st.

Do you honestly think that is close to fair value or entices Chicago even slightly?

Maybe for toews, add in sandin and a 2nd and chicago can retain 50% of toews. something like that could go. i'd think debrincat would be untouchable for chicago.

Everyone, Chicago traded Hagel for less in the big picture and he is on a great contract, DeBrincat makes 6.4 million and is a RFA after next season, Chicago is rebuilding and Teams rebuilding make trades like this.

Rebuilding teams don't make trades like that. They make trades for good young players and picks/ prospects.

Two late firsts is much better than one late first, a pair of cap dumps and an AHL player. That's not even taking into consideration the 2 prospects Tampa sent to Chicago in the Hagel trade.
