To LAK:
LD/RD-Nikita Zadorov @3.75/UFA2022
LD-Jusso Valimaki @1.55/RFA2023
2022-7th Round Pick-CGY (if needed)

To CGY:
LD-Olli Maatta @3.33/UFA2022
LD-Tobias Bjornfot @ELC-894k/RFA2023
RD-Austin Strand @ELC-771k/RFA2022

I know LA & CGY are in the same Division, but LA needs more offensive LD's with Edler being injured and CGY needs a more Defensive D-Man for their 3rd-Pairing LD, so if Giordano doesn't happen, maybe this deal happens.

Valimaki is likely far more NHL ready than Bjornfot, so they swap & CGY still has an LD Prospect for the future and pick up Calgary born RD Strand at the same time. This move would also open up $845k in Cap Space for CGY.

Bjornfot is 2 and a half years younger and already played as many games. He’s more NHL ready. I think LA is pretty high on him.

Good Point, I was thinking Valimaki had higher Offensive Statistics and might be more composed and mature given his age. Valimaki lost 2 years because of an injury and isn't getting the playing time he should.

Could take Valimaki and Bjornfot out and just go with Zadorov for Maatta, but CGY should try to acquire Austin Strand still too if LA will give him up. Lots of LA fans dislike Maatta, but I find him to be pretty defensively responsible and is +56 at 5on5, just not sure how good of a pucker mover he is, but he might be a more steady 3rd Pairing LD and PK option for Calgary.
