Toronto Trades
Rielly
Kerfoot
Mikheyev

Washington Trades
Kuznetsov*

*Capitals retain 800k each year of Kuznetsov's remaining contract.

Yes Rielly and Mikheyev will both be UFAs after this season but Washington is in the win this year position, and adding a Top 2 Defenceman, a good 2way Centre and an underated Winger with speed plus solve the Kuznetsov issue, I believe Washington would jump on this proposal.

The Leafs solve a few problems, Cap Space to just get them at the limit with this proposal, Rielly and Mikheyev probably walk after this season one because of contract the other saying he wanted out and to be traded, yes they weaken there Defence but this opens the door to play both Sandin and Liljegren fulltime and give Dermott more playing time, plus Kuznetsov is a huge upgrade at Centre over Kerfoot.

Thoughts ?

Washington would never, ever make this lopsided trade. It could possibly be a Kuz for Kerfoot with the Caps keeping to pay $800 000 for Kuz. Plus Rielly will want way more then he is worth on his next contract which the Caps can't afford.

So, what you seem to be saying is, Kerfoot isn't really a good 2 way centre, and he needs to be included in everyone of your trade proposals, as well as the other team retaining money, all in order to help the Leafs.

Sure thing.

Washington won't be trading Kuznetsov for a rental Rielly. Sign him to an extension first for no more than what Kuznetsov makes and they probably consider a 1 for 1 trade.

They might be interested in Mikheyev too but Kerfoot is a cap dump and Washington is a contender. Contenders don't take on cap dumps.

You need to stop trying to package a bunch of Toronto's problems together and dumping them en masse on good teams for good players. If you want to get rid of them move Kerfoot to a non contender with cap space and trade Rielly to a contender / want to be contender as a rental for picks and prospects or a lesser player. Rental Rielly isn't worth nearly as much as he would be on a contract with some term.

Mikeyev could be traded to a lot of teams.

Heck Calgary would probably do Monahan for Rielly. That'd be a mistake for the Leafs since they don't need another top 6 center but a top 6 center to play 3rd line is what you keep trying for.

I don't mind Reilly as a 3-4 dman. It is a big stretch to consider him a top 2 though.

Geez, is this a Leaf fan? Trying to unload players that are way overated that nobody else wants.

THOUGHTS? DUH LOL.

In my proposal I am trading Toronto's best Defenceman, there 3rd Line Centre that would be a #2 on Washington, plus a 3rd line Winger who can skate with anyone for a Player Washington is looking to unload for the right price.
Yet it's still not enough in some people's mind, Washington isn't a maybe make the playoffs team they are built for a run to win this year, which some teams like Washington go for it, nobody can honestly say this season, not talking about after this season, but this season Washington doesn't have a better team to possibly win The Cup making this Trade Proposal?
If you say it makes them a weaker team than you have never seen Rielly, Kerfoot and Mikheyev ever play.

Pinball if you actually believe half of what you say you are delusional and need help.

You constantly say I am delusional yet I rarely see you defend why my proposal isn't fair etc.
I don't think Kuznetsov is in the same category as Evander Kane, but if Washington was offered that, and it's well known Washington isn't dumping Kuznetsov but they would love to trade him for assets, and getting that package is a good package they would at least consider, Washington is in the win today mode not hey what happens after this season mode, that's where you are delusional, it's not a trade with Detroit for Dylan Larkin with Detroit rebuilding.

Hey Pinball, Washington has been trying HARD to trade Kuznetsov. I understand the trade from their point of view.

I don't know why the leafs would want a troubled Kuznetsov at 7.8M x 4 years though? I think they'd rather get a D-man back for Rielly. Kuz has some issues, and I just don't understand why your leafs would want to add another big salary scoring forward to the mix.
