Overpay for the Habs but the Canucks say no anyhow. They think Pettersson is a lot better than he is.

Pettersson is a franchise C who had an unlucky injury slow down his career. Though with how much of a mess the Canucks last season was, I don't think him staying healthy would have mattered.

As for value in the trade its a fair deal, but MTL would be getting by far the best player, and it would open a hole on the Canucks that KK will never fill. So with that said, the Canucks say no. Good proposal though!

Like every trade in the history of sports one team or the other ended up with the best player lol. but I think I know what you mean. I don’t think either team does this to be honest that leaves 2 holes in the habs lineup that would be hard to replace at this point of the off-season. maybe the habs will just try another offer sheet to get things moving instead.
