You waste people's time with trade proposals like this.

You're not getting Huberdeau for Rielly's final year and a Kerfoot cap dump.


Besides, leafs desperately need D, everyone knows that, so why would they trade their best D without getting 1 or 2 in return?

Huberdeau to start has one more year than Rielly on his contract before he is a UFA so he is not signed long term.
Rielly for Huberdeau contracts aside would be fair enough one for one with Rielly being a Top 2 Defenceman.
Kerfoot isn't a throw in, Engvall would be but not Kerfoot he is a solid 2 way Centre/ LWinger.
Trading Rielly is addition by subtraction because Liljegren doesn't play fulltime if at all and it's time for Liljegren to be playing fulltime in The NHL.
Florida needs a Top Left-handed shooting Defenceman they don't have that, Toronto needs a Top LWinger and they don't have that.
This proposal helps both Teams.
If it was the other way around my guess is why would Florida give Toronto Rielly and Kerfoot for one player, Leaf haters always show there colour like you did with your response.

I don't see why Florida would trade Huberdeau, he's one of the top wingers in the game. Also, he is one of the best players the franchise has ever had . I think any conversation with Huberdeau has to include Nylander.

Reilly alone won't be getting you a winger with 2 years left on a very reasonable contract for a player who's been over a point per game for the last 3 years. Not even with an extension.

Adding Kerfoot doesn't make it any better that's a cap dump which costs extra.

- if you want to move Kerfoot, you're going to need to include one of your 3 remaining 2022 draft picks as a sweetener. Kerfoot is a cap dump, and has no trade value, except to leaf fans who include him in almost every trade package. Think about why that is.

- last but MOST IMPORTANTLY, Huberdeau has a little thing called a "No Trade Clause". He's certainly not going to leave the Florida Sun and a team on the rise for the leafs' tire fire.

Think it through, post less often. Do some homework. Quality over quantity.

I see reilly as a #2 D. If you're looking for him to lead your D core, I'm not sure you picked the right guy. But he's good enough to be on the top line.

In Florida, he's a 2nd line D. Which he would probably excell at. But huberdeau is a more valuable player. Without including contracts. And 2 years is worth much more than 1.
