DET: Wallinder + Rasmussen + 3rd 2021

PHI: Patrick + 5th 2022


Both centremans need a change of scenery.

I do not mind taking a shot at an injury prone Patrick.

Would prefer to keep Wallinder though, open to other options but Wallinder fills a LHD need we have.

Value may not be too far off, just a preference to keep Wallinder.

Rasmussen + for Patrick is what I’d be open to.

Patrick is a bust for the position he was taken but really isn’t that bad. 68p in 184 games despite having his worst career year this year.
Philly has a lot of young guys that are struggling this year (Hart, Patrick) so I think they’d be better to focus on development and try to be competitive again next year.

It’s definitely not the right move to trade a struggling young player that has shown flashes of upside for one from the safe draft class that has barely been able to crack Detroit’s roster.

Why would the Flyers trade a struggling 2nd overall with hige potential for a struggling later 1st round pick in the same draft with much less potential? And the Flyers do not need another $1 in CAP on the left side of their blue line. Not a chance.
