After seeing tweets from Calgary fans saying Sean Monahan is not the same 200 foot player anymore and that he is ineffective, would Calgary be willing to trade him?

Cal:Monahan

Mtl:Phoeling, Fleury, Guhle, Byron, Armia

Salary is about 1 million more coming to Mtl. Mtl gives up 3 solid prospect, a big roster player and a cap dump that has Calgary experience. All that for a guy that it's own fan base is labelling as a liability.

Flames would probably ask for Guhle, 1st and Byron in return for Sean Monahan. No need to add Phoeling, Fleury and Armia.

@JAndersonBPF If Calgary was going full rebuild that'd be an interesting proposal but they'll be retooling not rebuilding.

@NotACasual not even close. A LD and a small LW are not what Calgary needs. In fact they're just about the last things the Flames need.

There are roster limits. You can't trade 5 spare parts for one player in The real world.
