I know a Crosby trade is unlikely, but say he does want to win another chip and help the pens rebuild. What do you think of these Avs trade offers:

1)
Colorado : Crosby (50% salary retained)
Pittsburgh : Byram, Kadri, Newhook, 2021 1st
2)
Colorado : Crosby (50% salary retained)
Pittsburgh : Byram, Bowers, Newhook, 2021 1st, 2022 1st

Logic: Pittsburgh's cup window is closed and they can get the pieces they need to start a much needed rebuild. Colorado enters win-now and will likely be heavily in cup contention for the duration of Crosby's contract. They get the much needed leadership and experience to win deep in the playoffs- something they've been lacking.

I think that's a little much as well. A little to much future going one way.
I could see Byram, a 1st in 21, a 2nd in 22 and Kadri.

That’s a Lindros package being traded for a 34 year old declining player yes he’s still amazing but there’s a legitimate chance that one of Newhook or Byram become better then Crosby in this stage of his career in a few years.

There wouldn’t be a big bidding war Syd would give a small list of teams where he’d go ( Probably Montreal, Toronto, Tampa and Colorado maybe Boston) . Those teams would then work out a deal.
