Thoughts on why I see a fit.

Columbus deals with Dubois wanting out and getting a Top Defenceman and a good two way forward in return.

Toronto gets a 22yr old that can play LW or Centre and can see him on LW with Tavares and Nylander, plus it opens the door for Lehtonen to step into the lineup.

Thoughts ?

2 years of Rielly and a 3/ 4 liner doesn't get you Dubois.

Never happen. In Columbus Rielly would be (at best) number 3 behind Jones and Werenski.

Besides there's no way Columbus trades PLD without getting a first line capable center back.

Columbus has two of the better dmen in the entire league, why would they need Rielly?

Toronto has two of the better centermen in the entire league, why would they need Dubois?

In terms of value, the much younger Dubois is worth more than Mo, and Mikheyev doesn't make up the difference in value. However, the trade makes zero sense for either side.

The only fit I see here, is matthews and reilly, for Jones and dubois.

Clb upgrades centre, tor upgrades d.

I'm not sure this trade happens, but without trading Matthews or tavares, you're paying a huge price to put dubois on the wing.
