WPG: Laine, 40th Overall 2020
OTT: 3rd Overall 2020, 5th Overall 2020

Jets fill their needs in the draft, get a C (Stutzle or Byfield), RHD (Drysdale) and can replace Laine at 10th with W (Quinn). Sens get a young premium goal scorer they can build their team around. The 2nd Round Pick fills the gap for difference in value.

Let’s just say hypothetically Laine was in this draft. Then possibly Ottawa might do this. but due to the fact the two players Ottawa drafts will be under team control for at least 8 years and be on entry level deals for the first 3 there is no way in the world they should even consider this. sens are in no means in a win now mode and Laine up to this point is not worth giving up two A grade talents for.

Interesting trade and I think the Jets might consider it if Byfield is available with the 3rd pick. I don't believe that Ottawa would do this trade.

Lol I’ll have what your smoking. Sens brass should be fired if that trade was proposed. I wouldn’t trade either 3rd or 5th for Laine let alone BOTH.
