I prefer Dermott over Stralman any day. Stralman’s deal is just way too much for the leafs to even consider.

Detroit keeps their picks and not interested in Kerfoot or Gauthier. Much rather make picks for a young C since we’re not ready yet.

Just totally disregard the top pairing RHD in Eklblad and just look at the cap dump used to make the deal less terrible for the Panthers. Eklblad>>>>>Nylander.

Ekblad for nylander is not close enough to get picky with Dermott for stralman.

Also det. Doesn't take the contracts for picks. Det is still working on rebuild. Picks will only be moved for young players det thinks they can make a key part of their team.
