WPG
Laine

OTT
Tkachuk
Wolanin

Tkachuk provides toughness (Jets need) and also points. So I don't think they would miss Laine to much. He may not get the points Laine is capable of getting but brings more of what the Jets really lack. Toughness and grit.
There other weakness is defence. But possibly fix that through Free Agency.

No thanks. Tkachuk would be nice, but I'd rather keep Laine. Ottawa would be too cheap to hold onto Laine anyways.

Hahahahhahahahhhhahha

Calgary laughs and laughs and laughs and laughs. Laine is a one trick gutless pony. Tkachuk handed Jets their own asses.

Cgy would say no, but ott might consider. Laine is expensive, but his "one trick" happens to be a good trick.

He showed improved team play this year, so wpg probably keeps him.

Jets would rather keep their 80 point one trick pony.

Oh. My bad. I was too busy laughing at the thought of Laine for M. Tkachuk. Usually that's what gets floated around here. Because Jets guys think Laine is the same value as McDavid.

Even Laine for B. Tkachuk seems like a no from Ottawa. Tkachuk had more goals than Laine last year. Laine had a good one trick. But it's not as good anymore. And without that one trick, he just a second or third tier player now. Unless he gets up to 35 goals a year again, Ottawa has a better thing going with B. Tkachuk, who is a man-giant on skates that plays just as physical and hard as his brother. Not like the soft pushover no-trick Laine.

Laine was almost a point per game so not sure how’s he’s a “one trick pony”. I think both teams might say no. Ottawa would probably want to wait a year or two and see if he puts up Matthew Tkachuk numbers.
