I think if you put Bracco and the 3rd in the first trade LA would do it.

Leafs don’t really need Lyubuhkin anyway when we already have Liljgren.

2.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 04:48:05
Big no from leafs on the 1st deal Johnsson is the leafs 1st line LW.

3.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 14:17:47
Vb what about Hyman lol.

4.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 15:13:00
Hyman played on the 3rd line with Kerfoot and Kappanen this season after Babcock was fired.

5.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 15:47:40
Bracco is only worth more than a 4th round pick in the eyes of some Leaf posters. If he's so great why is he always mentioned in so many trade posts and it's not that any teams demand him in a trade?

6.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 15:53:27
Are you sure about that vbb? Because Johnson and Mikyev were hurt most of the season. I don't watch a lot of Leafs but I could have swore Human was playing top 6. NaturalStatTrick shows that Human played over 400 minutes with Matthews, over 300 with Tavares, and almost 600 minutes with Marner. By comparison, he played 98 minutes with Kapanen and 85 minutes with Kerfoot.

7.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 17:07:12
@Saint Louis fan this was due to injury people see the leafs only being 3rd In the division ( more points then Jets still) and day they need to rebuild when in reality they were plagued by injuries and a coach who was not very good. When the lineup was in tact-

Johnsson-Mathews-Marner
Mikheyev-Tavares-Nylander
Hyman-Kerfoot-Kappanen
Gauthier-Spezza-Engvail

Hyman, Johnsson, Kerfoot, Marner, Dermott, Rielly, Muzzin and Tavares were all injured at different points of time so the lineup was very dysfunctional. Keep in mind Babcock also iced a completely different lineup.

8.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 18:02:22
Lol. Good point about the Leafs having one whole point more than the Jets this season vbbb, especially considering the Leafs play in the easiest division in the NHL. Extra marks for pulling out the injuries and bad coach cards. 😆.

9.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 19:22:49
How are Tampa and Boston easy teams @Memarcusjoe.

10.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 19:31:24
Vbbb, how are Detroit, Ottawa, Buffalo and Montreal not 4 of the easiest/ worst teams in the NHL?

11.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 20:12:02
Im sorry what memarcusjoe? how on earth is the Atlantic division the weakest in the nhl? It is the strongest. Also vb, Hyman is the leafs 1st line left wing. Johnson is the leafs 3rd line left wing. I guess you have checked the lines in a year. Hyman is always, under both babe and keefe is first line. And he should be, He is the leafs best forward next to the big 4.

12.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 20:41:09
When you have 4 teams in your division where every game is a gimme Farmboy, that makes the easiest division in the NHL. The Leafs are basically gifted a playoff spot as they only have to compete against one team to qualify. Yet they are still in a dogfight to to do it.

13.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 21:57:00
Farmboy clearly you don’t watch the leafs because Johnsson throughout his whole career has played with Mathews. Hyman was playing on Marner-Tavares line until Keefe split them up Johnsson as playing as LW to Mathews-Marner until he was injured which was shortly after Keefe was hired.

14.) 21 May 2020
21 May 2020 22:59:31
memarcusjoe, when it has 2 of the best teams (Tampa and Boston) in the league, plus 2 top 10 or 15 teams (Toronto and Flordia) making it hard for you to make the playoffs, I would say the bottom 4 teams don't matter. vbbbvvbb, I watch leafs games generally around once a week (HNIC, before the virus), so I know the lines well. This season, the lines have been:

Hyman Matthews Marner
Mikihev Taveres Nylander
Johnson Kerfoot Kapanen
Clifford Spezza Gauthier

It has rarely been that because of injures, but that is what a healthy leafs lineup looks like. Johnsson played with Matthews last year, so I understand why you think that, but this year he has not.

15.) 22 May 2020
21 May 2020 23:57:24
Oh, they definitely matter Farmboy, though you may not like to admit it. The Leafs get to play 14 games, I believe, against 4 of the worst teams in hockey. That is 28 free points, no other teams outside the Leafs easy division are spotted 28 points just for showing up.

16.) 22 May 2020
22 May 2020 00:34:17
I promise you Johnsson did the short period of which he played under Keefe. Hyman was demoted.

17.) 22 May 2020
22 May 2020 02:02:56
By that logic, memarcusjoe, Leafs also play the lighting and Bruins 14 times each. Also, have you ever actually looked at the standings and saw that you require less points to reach the playoffs in the west than the east? I not kidding, the east is much better, so the jets have a huge advantage over them. I will admit that perhaps the Metropolitan division is better due to depth, but the Atlantic has the star teams, and is better than both west divisions.

18.) 22 May 2020
22 May 2020 02:03:38
I believe you vb, but why is that relevant? Hyman plays 1stline more.

19.) 22 May 2020
22 May 2020 02:22:36
memacusjoe, how on earth is the atlantic division the worst division in the nhl? When you have the 2 top teams and other good teams, plus I wouldn't say the habs are that bad. But the west is crap compared to the east (every one knows that) and the central division has a ton of sucky teams and you say the east is terrible?

20.) 22 May 2020
22 May 2020 06:08:29
Did the leafs beat the Habs this year? For that matter when did Winnipeg beat them last?

21.) 22 May 2020
22 May 2020 13:32:44
Farmboy, the Leafs only play TB and Boston 8 times a season not 14. Montreal with 71 points is 5th in the Atlantic division. They would be 8th in the Central.

When you have 4 of the 8 worst teams in hockey in the Atlantic, that makes it the easiest division in hockey.

22.) 22 May 2020
22 May 2020 14:10:00
That just defies logic. If they are in the same division, why do they play mlt, buf, ott and det more than tb and bos?

23.) 22 May 2020
22 May 2020 15:00:59
I actually mis-counted. They play all of those teams 4 times each. The Leafs play Boston and Tampa 4 times each for a total of 8 games and play Montreal, Ottawa, Buffalo and Detroit 4 times each for a total of 16 games.

24.) 22 May 2020
22 May 2020 15:01:44
I totally agree with you Farmboy, also the central has 4 of the 8 worst teams in the nhl I could say, meaning min, nash, chi, and the stars.

25.) 22 May 2020
22 May 2020 15:01:57
He may have played 1st line under Babcock but not Keefe only when injured I can promise Johnsson will start out on the top line when recovered from injury.

26.) 22 May 2020
22 May 2020 15:52:52
You could say that mapleman, but you would be lying.

Detroit, Ottawa, Buffalo and Montreal rank as the 31st, 30th, 25th and 24th best teams in the NHL.

While Chicago, Minnesota, Nashville and Dallas (coincidentally Dallas is 2 spots ahead of Toronto) are the 23rd, 21st, 19th and 10th best teams in the NHL. So, if Dallas is one one the worst teams in the NHL, then so are the Leafs.

You kind of painted yourself into a corner and threw away the key. The Atlantic is by far the easiest division in the NHL, akin to a middle of the road AHL division and the Leafs struggle to be competitive in that division.

27.) 22 May 2020
22 May 2020 16:41:40
You could say that mapleman, but you would be incorrect.

Montreal, Buffalo, Ottawa and Detroit are the 24th, 25th, 30th and 31st best teams in the NHL.

Chicago, Minnesota, Nashville and Dallas are the 23rd, 21st, 19th and 10th best (coincidentally Dallas is 2 spots ahead of Toronto) in the NHL. So, if Dallas is one if the worst teams in the NHL, then so are the Leafs.

The Atlantic is by far the easiest division in the NHL, akin to a middle of the road AHL division, and the Leafs struggle to be competitive in it.

28.) 22 May 2020
22 May 2020 16:55:35
by that logic, the jets are also terrible, but that means they are even worse. Also the stars beat the jets a lot last year.

29.) 22 May 2020
22 May 2020 17:20:51
Also Farmboy, the average NHL points rank of the 8 teams in the Atlantic is 18th while the Central average is 13th. So, the Central is clearly a tougher division than the Atlantic and is the toughest in the NHL.

The Metropolitan ranks 14th and the Pacific ranks 20th. So, you could argue the Atlantic is the second easiest division, but don't have a leg to stand on in claiming the Atlantic is the toughest or better than both west divisions.

I still give the edge to the Atlantic being the easiest division due to having 4 of the worst teams in their division. Florida ranks 18th, so are not a "top 10-15 team".

Toronto media placates Leaf fans by making excuses and blaming the Leafs performance on tough competition, but the truth is the Leafs have it very easy competition wise and just aren't a very good team.

30.) 22 May 2020
22 May 2020 17:48:27
Farmboy, you don't see any Jet fans here claiming the Jets are great. That is only done by Leaf fans claiming that the Leafs are a Stanley Cup contender for at least another 10 years.

While reality shows that the Leafs are barely competitive in the easiest division in hockey and are still a ways away from being close to a Stanley Cup contender.

31.) 22 May 2020
22 May 2020 18:22:48
Ok, whatever, I don't care about the panthers, so sure, the are a top 20 team. And yes, I do see jets fans claiming the jets are great. And have I ever said the leafs are the best team in the nhl or that they will win the cup? No, I said they are top 15. Just face it,
