I can see why the Jets would do it, but why would Carolina make this trade?

The Jets are better off waiting until November to make a trade for a d-man with a team that has them and needs a forward. This way both teams get what they need. Doing a trade now would be trading from a position of weakness and they would have to give up too much for too little.

Here i thought pesce was worth a top 6 forward. that's what's being spread around the leafs site the last couple months.

If a mid 1st round defenceman pick and a 2nd and an unknown conditional 3rd gets you pesce than i guess replace stanleys name with liljegrens name and leafs get hemselves a rhd to play with reilly. done.
