Oilers, for whatever reason, don't want to play Gagner. Ho-Sang wants out and the Oilers are probably the perfect opportunity for him. seems worthwhile.

I'd like to see Ho-Sang given a shot with Oilers.
However, after all this time, maybe he jus isn't going to be an NHLer? I don't follow him enough. I do know he has a lot of hype about his offensive skills . But then I wonder, If he has this much skill, why isn't he in the NHL yet?
I know as a Habs fan, I've seen lots of these young guys with tons of offensive skill ( as a kid) come in with all this hype and never do anything. ie. Sherbac.

Except that Gagner costs three times more than HoSang. I think Islanders would rather keep their own cheap bust and do away with him somehow without taking on a $3 million bust instead.

That’s three million they can use for an nhl player that is actually nhl level, not an overpaid AHL player.
