For carolina good trade can reunite Aho and Laine.

For Winnipeg good trade get a fowart can help this team and he can play anywhere in the line up + young prospects with draft picks.

Terrible assessment of the trade. No chance the Jets give up Laine for a bottom 6 winger and some picks. The Jets aren't interested in trading Laine, so you would need to offer something that wows them. Not a whole bunch of nothing.

On the Jets he's bottom six. Connor, Ehlers, Wheeler and Vesalainen would all be ahead of him. So yes, definitely bottom six. You would see that if you set aside your bias for once.

No chance a guy who is averaging 17 goals a year and trending down, plays ahead of Ehlers and/ or Vesalainen. NN is absolutely a bottom 6 player on Winnipeg. On Montreal NN is probably a first line player vb, but on Winnipeg he's bottom 6. We have 4 wingers that are easily better than him.

I don't get your hype on ehlers but that's a side point. But look at what nino did when givin the chance to produce which he wasn't in minny he took off was one of the best wingers down the stretch. The trade offer is not enough but Nino would forsure play in top 6.

Island has been a lot better since the Trouba trade IMO.
Marcus - are you implying someone is a homer for Carolina or is everyone is just out to devalue the Jets? because i don't believe either is true to be honest. Most people are not devoted to either team so they should have a fairly unbiased opinion.

Point me to one post by me in this thread that is biased or homerish at all. There isn't one.

Vb it's because you aren't being objective on where Niederreiter would slot based on hate for the Jets and ignorance of their lineup.

Objectively, the Jets have four wingers in the top 6 better than NN:

Wheeler - much better than NN.
Connor - already better than NN and younger
Ehlers - already better than NN and younger
Vesalainen - at worst equal to NN, but way younger and way cheaper.

So, zero chance NN plays in the Jets top 6 (without injuries) .

He has potential, but I doubt he wins a spot in the top 6 over NN. When he did get a chance in Carolina's top 6, he played very well last year. Was considered a steal for Rask.

Topshelf, actually where he would play is exactly the point and the only point that matters. It doesn't matter where his points would rank him. On the Jets, NN is a third line player. Team needs is the most important aspect to any trade.

So, trading a first line winger for a 3rd line winger, makes zero sense for Winnipeg.

Actually, I’d argue that non fans of teams have a better idea of what a teams players are worth, because unlike you memarcus, they don’t overvalue due to love for their players.

More so, Vesalainen has played 5 NHL games, so this idea you have that Vesalainen is already better than NN is laughable and proves the gross bias you so vehemently deny you have. I mean, unless you can see the future and know for sure that Vesalainen will our score NN this year, of course. Can you see the future?
