Edmonton gets rid of a player that didn't with their and gets a player who can fit with their team. They also get a draft pick. Florida gets a good young player that could do really good with them and gets rid of good but slightly overrated player

Because maybe Florida sees potential value in Pul and Hoffman is a UFA at seasons end? Just a possibility.
But Edm doesn’t have the cap space to add Hoffman with only Pul going back anyways. This deal is a no from Florida most likely and it can’t work on Edms side.

Pulju is worth more than one year of Hoffman, there is no way he resigns with oilers so that's not a deal for oilers.

@yupp: Yeah but from everything that's out there, sounds like FLA wants to go for it this year (Bob signing etc. ) . So trading a 30g scorer in Hoffman for a future maybe doesn't seem too smart.
