i'd do it.

Buchnevich could be a good winger for McDavid, Namestnikov could be a good 3rd line center or 2nd line wing. Shattenkirk would be a top 4 option. they also get rid of lucic

NYR get a good top 6 center in nuge, bottom 6 winger in lucic and solid prospect in Puljajarvi and 2 picks. also get rid of staal's contract.

Any team trading for Lucic needs to bear in mind that he has a full NMC. So he automatically counts against protected players in expansion draft. Do you really want to take the risk of being stuck with Lucic at the cost of having to expose a younger, better player?

It’s really not bad imo maybe retain salary on shattenkurk.

I don't think this works out for NYR. They have a cap crunch already so taking back Lucic would be an issue.

I’m optimistic he’d waive his clause. No team is willingly taking that contract and if they do he’d be closer to home in Vancouver. And thunder Turkey, NY saves cap in this trade.
I think this would be a lot closer if they didn’t retain on Lucic. Otherwise not worth it to lose Nuge and take on cap.

Oilers won't trade nuge, he is a fan favorite + oilers won't retain 50% if they take on shattenkirk

Would rather retain 50% of he's salary, add a 2nd round and trade him for a 7th round.

You can't be serious. Think you forgot to add Kakko to make that trade close to realistic.
