He might not be playing like he’s worth more than that, but flames aren't trading a kid with his potential for that. That’s just asking to look bad. If you keep him and he never develops how you hoped and you look back and say “we could have had a 2nd round pick for him 3 years ago” who cares, if you look back 3 years from now and he’s scoring 20 goals a year and penalty killing etc on another team like he could and you Have a 2nd round pick, you’re a fool.

Because bennett isn't doing anything playing on the 3rd and 4th lines in calgary and has like 4 or 5 points.

He might get to the point where that’s all he’s worth. But at this point, he’s 21. there’s time to wait and see with his kid.

It's actually 3 points in 23 games he must be worth a lot lol more.

I get that you’re high, but No ones saying he’s worth a ton. I’m saying he’s not worth much at all right now on the trade market, Which is why you don’t trade him at this point. The potential of him getting his game to where it should be is worth more than what you would get. It’s called asset management. Like the oilers trading eberle at his lowest value of his career, it’s never a good plan. Hard to win those ones.
