Ottawa negotiates with LV to not take methot

Ottawa: 2nd round pick (47th) so that Las Vegas can take another player. Hopefully, they don't pick Claesson.

Thoughts?

you'll need more than a 2nd to make them take someone else on that unprotected list. Partly because Methot is worth a lot more than anyone else they exposed, and partly because they know Methot is worth more to OTT than he is to any other team because of how well the Methot-Karlsson pair has been for the last number of years.

Macarthur or ryan. I think ryan had an off season adjusting to Guys 131 system and will bounce back a bit but he's still a 7 million cap hit. Macarthur i just don't trust simple as that. he's a trooper and i feel for the guy but he's just had 3 to many concussions. Either way vegas will have to be compensated with a first maybe more to take them over methot.
