Washington Capitals have acquired Kevin Shattenkirk from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for a 2017 1st round pick, a 2018 2nd round pick and Zach Sanford.

I'm not freaking I'm happy as a rental I think we got a better haul then I thought Samford I's a big center 1st 2017 and 2nd in next years draft I'm happy.

You keep telling yourself that Colt. A late 1st in a weak draft, a conditional 2nd, a big center that is going to cap at maybe a 2nd line center max. On top of that you guys had to retain salary. Not very much for a guy you made out to be the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Not so fast. The reported deal has changed. The Blues give up Phoenix Copley as well. Capitals throw in Brad Malone. Not as good for the Blues as first reported but interesting that the Caps have both Copley and Samsonov in the pipeline now. Samsonov on the move for picks and cap relief?

lol no DL7? Caps have a goalie prospect that they drafted the year before samsanov in he second round Donnie they have Copley and the other dude to trade, samsanov, Bowery and vrana are the start of there future and who says shatenkirk is a rental? Caps would be happy to resign him.
