I will start off that I am not new to the site, actually have been reading it for a few years now. I am a leafs and oilers fan; and outside of '06, there hasn't been much to cheer about since the early 90's. Anyway, I figured I would join the fray and have some fun with this site.

LA is in a world of hurt without Quick for the next three months and stand a good chance of missing the playoffs if they don't do something. They are in the market for a goalie on an expiring contract, possibly one with two years left, provided the right deal can be had.

Option 1:
Ana - Bernier ($1.5 M retained)
LA - 4th round pick

This is a cheap win-win for both teams

Option 2:
Dal - Niemi ($2 M retained)
LA - Scudari

Anaheim isn't retaining any money.
Niemi without salary retention is worth more than just Rob Scuderi. Especially to LA who is desperate for a goalie.
