Devils to acquire Fowler:

New Jersey: John Moore, Michael Cammalleri (50% retained), 2017 2nd round pick

Anaheim: Cam Fowler, Clayton Stoner

That trade frees up $3million for Anaheim to re-sign Hampus Lindholm and Richard Rakell. They get a top-line LW and a top-six LD to replace Stoner. Devils get a top-four LD with the potential to become a top-pairing blue-liner.

Not bad actually. I'd try to love Despres first but don't think that's possible. Not a bad return for Anaheim considering they dump Stoner aswell. One thing I'll say is either get rid of Stoner or don't retain on Cammaleri. I can't see the Devils retaining 2.5 Million on Cam for the next few seasons aswell as taking Stoners 3.25M cap hit. Good post tho.

I think it's a good trade. Just a couple of variables based on Cammaleri's health and maybe if it was Jon Merril instead of John Moore because Merril is pretty much Stoner is just cheaper.
