If Oilers will trade Eberle, it will be for somebody who can fit a need that the Oilers gave. Myers is good but he's not the 2nd pairing PP quartback we need, or in general, he is not offensive enough. Good player, but not what oil needs.

Really tough trade now that Hall is gone. I'd say value is equal, but Eberle is the only top 6 RW ATM for the Oilers. Pulju will be and Yak still has a chance. But moving out Eberle and Hall, our top 2 scorers over the last 5 years would be irreplaceable. You propose this 6 months ago it would probably be a yes from the Oilers, but now it's a no. Besides with Larsson added, we now need a pp QB, aka Barrie.

Look at it from a need perspective. Jets needs are not on the wing. Seriously Eberle would be third on the depth chart RW. A top 2 centre and LH d man is where they are looking. Edmonton fans stop trying to peddle Eberle or Yak for a RH D man. Not going to happen.

No from the Jets. Eberle is good but a top 3 d-man like Myers is hard to come by. Myers is on a great contract so it would take a Draisaitl or Puljujarvi and Edmonton would not do that.
