Not bad, but take out the 2nd rd pick.
That would leave a giant hole in Arizona's defence.
Pretty sure they wouldn't do this trade, although value is close.

You couldn't be more wrong Samforprez. Mathews is supposed to be better than Eichel. And missed last years draft due to age by one month. So he has been playing all this season over seas playing against men and doing very very well, So he will be more than NHL ready for his rookie season next season.

@yep @BJ96 he missed the draft by two days. Cutoff is September 15th and he is born on the 17th. @Samforprez he is going to be a force in the NHL.

Burnsy613, Mathews is from Arizona so the big reason they would consider trading OEL for him is that a franshise center man from your hometown would sell a lot more tickets than a Franchise D man, and they need to gain fans and sell sell sell right now in a big way. I do think Oil would need to add to get OEL but Mathews is a perfect franshise center for Arizona,
