Oilers would never take on Ellers cap for 3rd round pick, player swaps with a late round draft pick is the ideal trade, if the trade was even a possibility.

Calgary has already stated they're not giving up their draft picks. Patrick Marleau has a no-trade clause in his contract and has indicated he wishes to stay in San Jose. And with Pittsburgh needing to win in order to stay as a wild card, the last suggestion is absurd.

Guys. shocker here but I've said it before. Ohlund isn't a cap dump! He's been on LTIR for years and his deal is up at the end of the season. He doesn't effect the cap. Moving him doesn't help Tampas cap situation at all he doesn't carry that kind of negative value because moving him changes nothing.
