Habs off season plan.

Sign Gardiner 6 x 7years

Trade 2019 first, second, Suzuki, Alzner for cap

1.) 25 Apr 2019 18:46:30
Why would we trade for cap when we already have lots of space. Also I wouldn't mind gardiner for the 2nd or 3rd pair but not not at that price tag.

2.) 25 Apr 2019 19:28:08
gardiner ain't getting 6 mil and why tf would you blow up and trade away your first round pick and your top prospect just to get rid of one contract are you high.

3.) 25 Apr 2019 20:50:53
I’ll bet any amount of money Gardiner gets over 6 mil in free agency some team will overpay.

4.) 25 Apr 2019 21:17:55
Delusional person that doesn't know anything about hockey. Gardiner is the next alzner.

5.) 25 Apr 2019 21:50:26
I make fun of Gardiner all the time but in reality I feel sorry for him. Hopefully he signs with solid defensively talented team, to be a 4/ 5 d-man and power play person, in a market that doesn't scrutinize his every move.

6.) 25 Apr 2019 23:47:12
I absolutely agree with vbb’s. As much as I’m not a fan of Gardiner, he is a very good 40-50 pt puck moving defenseman. I think someone will pay 6. MTL4LIFE I think Gardiner is a totally different player than Alzner. Gardiner is a smooth skating puck mover, terrible in his zone. Alzner is a stay at home defenseman that can’t skate.

7.) 26 Apr 2019 00:58:28
Gardiner could definitely get $6 mln in free agency.

Don’t think it’s a good idea tho, especially if it’s a longer-term deal.

8.) 26 Apr 2019 02:06:58
I can see a team offering 6 mil or more but in saying that he did have a down year with a fairly serious injury that might make some teams a little hesistant.

9.) 26 Apr 2019 06:44:38
Yes habby his back injury could be a concern. Like islandjet said, if Gardiner played with a defensive minded d man, or team, he would be much better.

10.) 26 Apr 2019 06:58:16
He would for sure I agree I also think he's best suited as a strictly 2nd pair dman. 19 to 20 mins a game.

11.) 26 Apr 2019 09:17:09
why would they trade suzuki? wasn't he main piece back in the patches trade? i'd think they'd at least see what they have in him in nhl before trading him.

12.) 26 Apr 2019 17:33:34
Sorry boys. Kopitar was supposed to be added. Those pieces and Alzner for cap. Lol. My bad. I think Gardiner will be a beauty beside Weber. I think LA is going to rebuild and the trade above would be a great start.

Mtl: Danault and 2019 1st

Stl: Schenn

Habs get their number one center. Salary dump and a rebuild start for STL

pdot77

1.) 24 Dec 2018 17:54:49
Totally fair. I'll notify Colt and send over the paperwork.

2.) 24 Dec 2018 18:04:01
Schenn a number 1c?

3.) 24 Dec 2018 19:00:49
Unless Montreal is finishing really poorly and that’s a top 5ish unprotected pick, it’s not worth the downgrade from Schenn to Danault. There would be a number of teams to offer more.

4.) 24 Dec 2018 20:05:14
No thanks if the habs trade that first it will be for a position of need like LHD.

5.) 25 Dec 2018 03:25:55
The Habs need help at center. Schenn would be a great fit.

6.) 25 Dec 2018 04:50:20
No they don't. left shooting dmen are the biggest need right now.

7.) 26 Dec 2018 19:39:56
Come on man. Their number one Center is almost every other teams second/ third line center. Come playoffs is when we will see it most.

8.) 28 Dec 2018 09:21:34
And schenn changes this how? seems to me domi since coming to montreal is putting up as good if not better numbers then schenn ever has. its a small sample size I know but until that changes I don't see the need to create another hole in the lineup and give up a first to add schenn.

9.) 03 Jan 2019 16:54:49
Habs don't need centers. Plenty coming up. Dallas can swallow their contracts. Fuck no from Habs. Last place Dallas .

Mtl and Buf

Patches 3rd OVA and 35th OVA 38th OVA

O'Rielly and Mittelstadt.

pdot77

1.) 09 Jun 2018 12:04:53
I wish loll because I would trade the 3rd for mittelstadt but I would love to try Brady Tkachuk at Center and see how that goes. He's big, skilled has a good shot and a really good passer of the puck, he has high IQ he's agile pretty fast but that's the only thing he really needs to work on his speed.

2.) 09 Jun 2018 15:13:08
Overpayment on MTL's part.

Weber

Trouble and a 1st.

pdot77

1.) 23 Nov 2017 18:57:03
Who tf is Trouble.

2.) 23 Nov 2017 19:12:39
Weber and prices contracts are virtually untradeable. They are in big trouble with the cap moving forward.

3.) 23 Nov 2017 22:19:26
We have enough trouble.

16 Aug 2016 01:58:34
Habs trade 1st Rd 2017, Ghetto and Sergachev for Jenner

Line 1 Pacs Galchenyuk Radulov
Line 2 Jenner Pleks Gallagher

Thoughts?

pdot77

1.) 16 Aug 2016 04:42:47
Bergevin hangs up the phone right away.

2.) 16 Aug 2016 05:47:31
Are you literally insane oh my god.

3.) 16 Aug 2016 07:20:36
For once it's a no from the Habs.

4.) 16 Aug 2016 12:25:24
Jenner isn't worth that much at all.

5.) 18 Aug 2016 05:52:22
Sergachev will be a future superstar and is worth way more than Jenner.

I am a huge Habs fan. I do not think they should make any moves now to try and save the season. We all know the issues.
1. Price went down and they play poorly without him.
2. We are missing a true #1 center.
3. We need to fill the gap and get a top 6 RW.

I would like to see them get a good draft pick and use that to trade for either a top center or a RW. Then work in the off season to get the other via free agency or trade. They need to move Tommy Pleks out to make the cap space.
Thoughts?

pdot77

1.) 30 Jan 2016 19:06:08
It all depends on what spot they get for the draft. This one looks like a really good draft.. there are other peices I'd like to see moved other than Plekanec. And i believe he's making 6 million next year. I feel that's a lot for a number 2 center for 2 more years. don't know who would want to take that on.I totally agree with ya on what we need.. guess it all depends on what draft position we get.. who's available.. I'd like to see the core of Paccoiretty Price Gallagher and Subban remain.. all others can go.. I'd hate to see Galchenyuk or Bealieu go. But I think they are only peices that would bring back any quality..

2.) 31 Jan 2016 18:18:54
I personally would like to see the habs stay put at the deadline. They need to cut the fat, we have too many of the same players. Lars Eller is a 3rd line center and he does that we'll. DD time is up in MTL. If he was making 800,000 I would be fine but at 3.5 your wasting cap space. Whether it a buyout or bury him in minors after this year he's got to go. Would really like to see them tank and get Laine in the draft. 6'4 RW is what they need. Then hope that both Stamkos abd Stall hit the market and give them whatever they want to. The time is now and our windows closing fast. Is there anyways to trade Markov if we eat some salary. Just some ideas but there is a lot of work to be done to turn the team around. Oh and MT time in MTL is done when the season ends.

I agree. The NHL needs to find a way to level out the tax advantage. I am a Habs fan and their taxes are one of the highest.

I like the trade idea and I think it is good for both teams. Help rebuild and Fowler will look good on the Habs.
