St-Louis trades: Kevin Shattenkirk and Robby Fabbri

Ottawa trades: Derrick Brassard Cody Ceci and Cond 2nd pick (if shattenkirk resgins)

Ottawa hopefully loses Bobby Ryan to Vegas
Goes after Tavares in 2018 free agency

Hoffman. Tavares. Stone
Dzingel. Turris. Fabbri
MacArthur. Pageau. Smith
Neil Kelly. Lazar

Methot. Karlsson
Phaneuf. Shattenkirk
Borowiecki. Wideman.

You have to be dumb to believe that Tavares is going on the free market.

2.) 19 Dec 2016 18:04:32
All I can say is lol.

3.) 19 Dec 2016 21:50:00
Shattenkirk > Ceci + 2nd
Fabbri > Brassard

Ryan has a NMC so he'd have to waive it.

I don't see Melnyk and Dorion shelling out 8.5-10 million for Tavares. Mainly due to the fact that Pageau, Smith, Turris, Stone and Karlsson all have expiring contracts in the next few years and all are going to be getting significant pay raises than what they are getting now.

4.) 19 Dec 2016 23:13:29
Titties, Ryan's NMC is only to be waived or sent to the minors. They Can expose him in the exp draft if they want.

5.) 08 Jan 2017 03:46:56
I think Pageau and Smith are attractive to other teams and could bring something decent in return. I would take them in my team. I'm sure Mr. Melnyk would pay top dollar for an elite player (only) if he became avalaible. The Sens could be in trouble if they don't make a splash before the deadline.

Ottawa Trades: Cody Ceci, Clarke MacArthur, Curtis Lazar, 2017 1st (lottery protected)

Colorado Trades: Gabriel Landeskog.

mrsports6

1.) 30 Jul 2016 17:16:14
Way way too much for Landeskog.

2.) 30 Jul 2016 17:40:36
Jesus that's way to much for Landy.

3.) 30 Jul 2016 18:13:53
10000% Ottawa will never do that.

4.) 30 Jul 2016 20:33:34
Not enough quality for Landy. Would you trade 4 quarters for a dollar?

5.) 30 Jul 2016 23:22:03
4 Quarters = 1 dollar

@BJ96

am i not getting something here or.

6.) 31 Jul 2016 00:28:33
I'm with BJ. Some decent quality pieces but not quite there. No from both.

7.) 31 Jul 2016 06:02:04
Lol @TysonBarrie
Wow.
I'm not even going to reply lol.

8.) 31 Jul 2016 09:27:14
@BJ96

You literally just replied.

9.) 31 Jul 2016 10:56:37
thanks man I didn't know that! It was towards your question.

10.) 31 Jul 2016 17:21:43
Are you serious !? Those are not 4 quarters, and landy is not a dollar compared to those. Value is unbelievably on the Avs favor. Worst trade i've seen in a while and I can't believe some of you think ottawa might win this.

It's must be a wonderful day in the world you live in.

2.) 21 Jun 2016 17:23:20
I'll probably get crapped on but I'd rather just keep the Sedins. Very little interest in Ryan and his contract, don't know much about the prospect but Lazar and a 1st is nice.
They're worth more then a team would be willing to pay them. I can only see them being traded in their final years of contract, if they're still producing (which I would think they will) and if Canucks aren't contending. Package those guys up at 50% retained each and one contender would give a boatload up. If they're still 60ish point players might be able to get a few 1st/ 2nds and top prospects.

3.) 21 Jun 2016 19:01:29
BJ96, I see where you're going but Vancouver would look like the smartest negotiaters in hockey for this and Ottawa would look like fools.

4.) 21 Jun 2016 19:17:38
Keep those swedish meatballs in Vancouver.

14 May 2016 20:01:31
Ottawa trades: Mika Zibanejad, Ben Harpur, Matt Puempel

Winnipeg Trades: Mark Scheifele.

mrsports6

1.) 14 May 2016 20:18:51
Worst.

2.) 14 May 2016 21:51:33
Scheifele>>> Zibanejad. Scraps don't equal the difference.

3.) 14 May 2016 22:25:27
Isn't Mika Zibanejad already enough to complete this deal. Adding to good prospects to an even trade makes your team "unprepared" for future trades.

4.) 15 May 2016 01:44:14
Scheifele is not much better than Zibanejad, he had a breakout year yes but their values are comparable. Ben Harpur might be considered scrap in a deal of this magnitude, however he's still a young 7th defenceman and Puempel actually has decent value. I don't think this is a trade either team would do, but this is not by any means a bad trade.

5.) 15 May 2016 05:55:15
Jets aren't moving Schiefele guys, he and Laine will be a deadly duo going forward. He also showed great chemistry with Ehlers and Wheelers and I see that as Winnipegs starting 1st line.

6.) 15 May 2016 06:10:25
Zibanejad and schiefele are very similar players. Although i don't see either of them being traded because they both have potential to be a #1 centre for there respected teams. They both have a big body with great hands. Zibanejad has a Big shot. Zibanejad is can skate really well. in my opinion there very similar. Zibanejad has schiefele beat in the shot and speed category however schiefele hands may be a little better. If ottawa wanted him they would have taken him with the 6th pick and then zibanejad probably would have went to the jets.

7.) 15 May 2016 08:15:43
Not trying to bash the Sens but Scheifele>Zibby
Zib will be a good 2C or very good 3C on a strong team. I see Schiefele as a number 1C worst case 2C.

06 May 2016 19:04:18
Ottawa trades: Mike Hoffman and Cody Ceci

Nashville Trades: Mathias Ekholm and Colin Wilson/ Craig Smith.

mrsports6

1.) 06 May 2016 19:43:02
Ceci>Ekholm (based on age alone pretty similar numbers otherwise)
Hoffman>>>Smith/ Wilson

Hoffman had more goals and almost as many points as Smith and Wilson combined. At this point Wilson is more of a cap dump than anything Smith has much higher value than Wilson.

2.) 06 May 2016 20:36:26
Easy no from Ottawa.

3.) 07 May 2016 01:11:15
Smith is much better and worth more than Wilson FYI.

Anderson will be in the league another at least four years and he's 6th in the league in save percentage don't see a decline there, oilers need a second line center who is young so turris is perfect all around and cowen is a second pair D right now with more playing time and development he'll be pretty steady on the back end, this fits all of edmontons needs
