I know this sounds crazy but just think about it.
Cgy: lazar, Bennet
Pit: Crosby and Malkin
Lazar and Bennet are both high potential first round picks who are due for a good season. Crosby and malkin are getting old and will slow down soon, Pittsburg has to be ready for the next step.

"I know this sounds crazy but just think about it" I have for 2 seconds and it's still idiotic. Assuming you're serious, I'll explain. As much as I loathe Pittsburgh's diving duo, they're still in their prime and are highly productive players that stand a decent chance of a threepeat. Bennett and Lazar have been disappointing to say the least. If The Pengwhines were to trade those two for a rebuild, they can get substantially more than those scraps.
PS There's a thing called cap space. Google it.

This has to be a joke. The best player in the world and a top 10 player in the world for lazar who is a complete bust (and I’m usually critical of calling kids busts) and Bennett who still could be a decent player but hasn’t lived up yet at all. If you’re serious, wow.
