How can we justify trading Galchenyuk for any top player in the league if we continue to play him on the 4th line and continue to say he under performs. We have to trade one head ache for another teams head ache.

Come on lol people are saying unbelievable to galchenyuk, 2decent prospects and 2 high picks. And you think a single winger that's older than Tavares is going to cut it? Pacioretty is a good player, and a great bargain for another year or two while on that contract, but he wouldn't be near the best player on most teams in the league. Tavares would immediately become the best player on 80% of the teams in the league of traded there.

Really, I see it as maybe a contract they gave partly to expose to Vegas this Summer. I don't know STL's situation going into the expansion draft, and I don't care to look it up, but that nearly 4 mil cap hit would help them get to the minimum percentage of cap exposed that all teams need to get to.
