Not sure if eberle can fetch 9th overall, but oil could use it to draft a dman. However, with that being said, I don't think montreal is going to do that.

Its just interesting because I have seen jvr for the 9oa and Toronto fans seem to like it. IMO jvr is better than eberle and cheaper. But a lot of people seem to disagree. I think oilers fans are the worst when it comes to overvaluing their players. Right next to habs fans haha.

Lol eberle could be more valuable because he puts up more points than jvr? that's probably why. I think you're the worst at thinking who overvalues or not, because Edmonton is pretty minimal for overvaluing except for all the shit stirrers and guys who aren't serious about trades.

Everyone overvalues RNH, but Eberle is usually correctly valued. This however is too much. There are reports that Eberle could be got for as low as say the 19th oa pick (NYI) and a B prospect.

Assuming edm gets 2nd or 3rd overall they draft a bigger more physical winger to replace eberle. They get a d-man and a draft pick. All Montreal gives up essentially is emelin and Michael McLeod.

JVR, maybe a bit biased but Eberle has played with better players and JVR averaged 28/ 29goals sense he came to T. O not bad and obviously being 6'3 helps.

Another silly question. With all things considered I think they might be even. Leafs fans will say JVR and Oilers fans will say Eberle. And there's nothing wrong with that.
I'm not a fan of Eberle myself, but I believe he and JVR are equally both great players.

I see people saying that Domi, Strome, 7oa, 20oa is not worth Matthews. I think it is and I explain why *mini essay ahead*
I think a good comparable to Mathews is Toews both have skill, leadership great 200 foot game and finishing ability.
Strome has great size, playmaking ability, good shot but won't kill you with his speed. I see similarities between him and Thornton. I don't think he has the capability of being one of the greatest set up men in history like Joe. I think the best comparable is Sean Monahan. I see the 7oa being Olli juolevi, good skater, good size, defensive awareness and not a risk in own zone, has offensive upside good two d-man. Best projection is Alex petrangelo. A more realistic comparable though is countryman Olli Matta.

Sorry I accidentally hit send, I also think domi has the potential to score 70 points. What I am saying is that I would not trade the combined potential of strome domi and the 7oa. And if that 20 overall becomes something like jt miller, then its really not worth it. I wouldn't trade toews for Monahan, Domi, and Matta . For people that say Arizona needs to add is crazy. Toronto fans seem to think that Matthews is some magical saviour or think that he is the same as mcdavid.

Matta is a top 2 haters can't hate on that pits defense. He proved so many doubters wrong and defensemen have more value. Matta is worth Larkin especially sense Detroit needs right hand D.

Weren't the oilers asking for 2nd for yak but couldn't get it which is why he wasn't traded? If so any team that offers a 2nd Edmonton takes it an runs. I don't think teams add a player. Unless it's a cap dump.

Mclarty08 he would become their 3rd line centre. Galchenyuk, plekanec, bozak. And for a team that has a bare cupboards when it comes to prospects it doesn't make sense. Kadri for dumba seems fair though.

Pacioretty is better over the last 4 years only 3 players have more goals than him, ovi, stammer and pavelski. Patches only gets like 4 points less than stamkos. I agree rnh is better than galchenyuk. But if there is a defenseman that is worse defensively than subban it is karlsson. Karlsson doesn't even kill penalties and the last time they both played full seasons only 6 points separated them. So to say karlsson is way better is crazy. Imo subban is slightly better.

Well I think that Matthews will be a 70 point guy similar to kopitar, if he plays with marner his stats will benefit. I haven't seen enough of his defensive play night in and night out through a 40 plus games. The details in his game will make him great. Right now subban in 5 years Matthews.
