just a thought
depending on how the habs see fucale determines if they would or should consider trading price to vancouver
for the number 5 pick overall and other top picks/prospects.
thanks for your thoughts/ responses

Not even going to get into the proposal. Fucal is no where near NHL ready and in fact isn't even the top goalie prospect on Montreal.

just wondering what carey prices value is right now?
trading him might be for the best for the habs because having the best goalie or one of the best does not guarantee a cup victory, i. e Rangers,
the pens have won without the best rated goalie, chicago has done so a few times, the kings are a recent exception with quick.

Fucale's chances at being an Nhler are pretty much gone at this point. They sent him to the ECHL where he put up only average numbers, and when he was called up to the AHL wasn't very good. I see no reason for Montreal to extend him a qualifying offer, it is more likely he gets released. Even considering that Montreal should move Price at this point in time is ridiculous considering that Montreal's considerably stronger goalie prospects (Lindgren and McNiven) need a few more years before they're ready.

Oh wow. this doesn't even really warrant a comment.
Price isn't going anywhere.

yakupov i believe is restricted, what should the habs offer to get him and reunite with galchenyuk?

i can't imagine STL will qualify him, so just wait an extra few weeks and he'll be a UFA.

I proposed this recently.
Andreas Martinsen
2017 5th.

If I were Habs, i'd maybe offer a pick and grab him before he hits open market? he's got talent, there is a reason he was 1st overall. and maybe a guy ( if we can resign him) like Radulov can help him. i'm not saying he's going to be a star, but i'd grab him before someone else does, and just see. a low risk, high reward deal.

maybe philly feels generous considering what the habs paid for recchi
leclair and desjardins were key to phillys success in the 1990's.

sergachev should pretty much be untouchable right now,
the habs have a lot of second round picks they can package with a first rounder to get a centre, or use the picks and other prospects in order to move up and draft someone they covet.

habs should avoid giroux and make a package for the flyers 1st round pick,
philly gets the gritty winger in gallagher, habs save cap space and get a centre, do not see it happening for cap reasons.

every team should have a chance to win the lottery, teams should not be rewarded for failure, and teams punished for success.
