I know this will never happenm being in the same division and all but.

Oilers trade:

Draisitl

Canucks trade:

Hamius and a 2015 First.

canucks shouldn't be trading any picks since they have no prospects but they get a head start on one in Draisitl.

Never going to happen, but let's have some fun!

oilers trade mcdavid for:

Boston - Krejci, Lucic, Malcom Subban, first round pick.

Columbus - Ryan Johansen, Jack Johnson First round pick.

NYR - Stepan, Girardi, Talbot

Pit - Malkin, Maata

Tampa - Tyler Johnson, Ben Bishop First round pick

Colorado - Duchene, Erik Johnson

LA - Kopitar, Martinez, Greene

Preds - Forsberg, Josi, Volchenkov

Sharks - Couture, Vlasic, First round pick

STL - Berglund, Shattenkirk, Elliot

Too much?
Too Little?

Fire away.

Heavy on some, light on others. Drop Krejci from the Boston trade, add for the Tampa trade, Ranger trade might be heavy too.

2.) 22 Apr 2015 21:45:09
easy no from edmonton on the boston one. Lucic isn't worth the money and term he's going to get on his next contract. Krejci is a solid player but his injuries would scare me off. Subban was awful in his first appearance in the nhl this year and he has yet to prove anything at this level edmonton would need something more for sure.

Johansen would be nice but with his contract coming up they would have to make sure he would resign. Johnson is solid but he isn't a number one guy. Their first rounder would be nice but I just think overall edmonton would say no but its close.

New york trade isn't close. easy no from edmonton.

Pittsburgh is one I think they would have to think about but overall I think both teams would say no.

Edmonton says no on the tampa trade. Hedman instead of the first would make it a lot closer if I was edmonton.

No from both teams on the colorado trade they are in no position to give up defense for offense

Kopitar would be an amazing add but the rest of the package isn't great. Marinez and greene both look better because they play on one of the best defensive teams in the league

no from edmonton on the preds they need a second line center but its close.

no from edmonton for the sharks deal I don't think the trade would work for either teams

easy no from edmonton on the st louis trade

3.) 22 Apr 2015 22:34:59
None are even close

4.) 23 Apr 2015 14:59:03
Hedman instead of the first? So you suggest a franchise #1 defenseman, a franchise #1 goalie and probably one of if not the best 2nd line center in the NHL (Hedman and TJ still young, developing and on very good contracts)? Keep on dreaming. there's absolutely no incentive for TB to trade for MacDavid, not to say that package.

5.) 28 Apr 2015 01:40:39
Oilers would not exept any of these trades

6.) 21 May 2015 22:19:49
Bos: Chara, Lucic, Subban + 1:st pixk 2015 (14)
Oil: McDavid + 'ok D-man'

So Oilers won the lottery again Boo Hoo, get over it.

Big Trade,
Leon Draisitl, Martin Marincin, and pens first rounder For. Brent Seabrook.

Signings,
Cody Franson 4-5 millish
Justin williams also 4-5 millish
Niemi 4.5 mill

Resign Roy at 2 mill

buy out nikitin

2015/2016 Roster

Hall McDavid Williams
Pouliot RNH Eberle
Purcell Roy Yak
Hendricks Gordon Klink/Fraser

Klefbom Seabrook
Ference Franson
Nurse Fayne/Shultz

Niemi
Scrivens

That should get them right around the cap

Thoughts?

1.) 21 Apr 2015 15:08:44
why isn't schultz on the top D pair?

2.) 26 Apr 2015 11:48:15
I would take the draft pick from Pitt out of that package and it looks doable. With any draft pick the cost is too steep to Edmonton seeing they are giving up that much talent

Oilers moves for next season

- Draft McEichel
- Trade RNH for Yandle straight up
- Resign Roy, seems to fit well
- Sign someone like Chris Stewart in free agency
- Sign Boychuk
- Fasth walks Sign Niemi
- Trade Ference and Nikitin for anything (50% retained)

Line up:

Hall McEichel Eberle
Pouliot Roy/Draisitl Stewart
Yakupov Roy/Draisitl Purcell
Hendricks Gordon Klink/Fraser

Yandle Boychuk
Klefbom Shultz
Nurse Fayne

Niemi
Scrivens

Then focus on drafting a goalie

Thoughts?.Please be nice lol.

UnfortunateOilerFan

1.) If I was edmonton I would try and trade for yandle without giving up RNH he is the future for your team even more then Hall and Eberle

i would try and trade something like

Edm - Leon Draisaitl, pitts 1st rd pick 2015, Martin Marincin

Arz - Keith Yandle

this would fit the guidelines of what Arizona was looking for without having to give up RNH

2.) Lol who says edmonton get mceichel anyways strange things can happen in the draft

3.) Why would you trade RNH for a blueliner that would not remain a piece of your core for much longer? doesn't make to much sense to me.

4.) Be tighter with the cap though

5.) If you're going to give up all of that, why not trade for a younger more well rounded d-man? It doesn't really fit with EDM is trying to do IMO.

6.) 05 Feb 2015 01:02:20
1. what if edmonton ends up with 3rd pick or higher? lol

2. horrible trade, but would absolutely love to see EDM do it just cause I hate them

3. idc

4. stweart is not the answer, but again, i'd love to see them give him 4 mil per liek they did pouliot

5. what if boychuk doesn't want to come to a perrenial loser?

6. again, what if niemi would rather sign somewhere to win rather than a perennial loser?

7. that would be around 4 mil in dead cap space, no way EDM can afford to do that with their cap situation. however, another thing I would love to see EDM do just to further destroy their franchise, every little bit counts :D

7.) No one retains 50 percent I don't care who's it is

8.) RNH could be traded OEL

Edmonton trades:
Leon Draisaitl
and pens 1rst 2015
and 2nd pick 2015

Colorado trades:
Ryan O'Reilly

UnfortunateOilerFan

1.) So bad for the oilers

2.) Leon's upside>o'reillys upside. Oilers can wait out draisaitls progression. They aren't in a win now mode lol.

3.) Too risky for the Oilers. O'Reilly will be UFA after next season and has a history of protracted contract negotiations. He appears to think quite highly of himself and would likely bolt to the highest bidder. Give Draisaitl a little time and he’ll probably be as good a 2C as O'Reilly.

4.) Jeez 0-30 I should probably give this up lol
