Edm trades Jordan Eberle to San Jose for Joe Pavelski
1.) I don't really know, who'd say no here?
2.) Imo I would say edmonton says no as they lose there top winger for a second C. if eberle is traded I would assume its for a big stud D man

He's much older than Eberle, tho
4.) True but yakipov has potential to be 1st line. Edm has some good young D coming up eventually they don't have much depth at C only guy who can win a faceoff is Gordon

Cause bourque is a bum
1.) I think there is a trade proposal not too far down the page suggesting Bourque could be the main piece in a trade for E. Kane.
I am not so sure that's the case anymore.
2.) If he gave the effort every game and played like he could. he would be enough to trade for kane. but he is quite possibly be the biggest floater in the game.

Rene Bourque is one of the most wavering hot/cold players in the league in recent history, and the forefront of some very lop-sided trades. In what crazy world would he be part of a deal for a potentially-explosive 1st line player unless the Jets had a Yashin-esque contract to trade away as well? Stop kidding yourself.

Thoughts on what the oilers need more
Proven #1 goalie
True top pairing defenceman
Big power forward to open up space
New experienced coach??
1.) Without a doubt a Goalie. There is nothing in their farm system that screams elite #1 goalie.
They have some blue line prospects and could add a power forward via trade/FA and once the rest of the pieces are in place, the coach is the least of your worries.
2.) New coach, new GM.
Look at what a new CBJ GM did with prospects and not much else. Signed good players, got a good coach, and turned the team around quick. They're not doing great right now, but their absolute #1 (what kinda trade did they get him for again? oh yeah, an absolute steal) is out right now. Not to mention that they have half their solid roster out. Yet the Oilers, who have SOLID prospects and really good supportive players continue to flounder under an unproven coach who blows and a GM who couldn't even make it as an AHL coach. Absolute nonsensical debauchery going on in EDM.
Im an Oilers fan (for now) but this is ridiculous. They deserve every bit of ridicule they get from any other team in the league, including Sabres fans. they're pathetic. Unless November ends with them being on the top-side of. 500, F this team. Until they annihilate mgmt, nothing will change.

You wouldn't trade seguin olesiak and a pick for Crosby? I know you can't compare mcdavid to Crosby. But from what I hear mcdavid could be the next Crosby
