Montreal and Anaheim:

Lars Eller

for

Carl Hagelin

Both are struggling this year and could use a change of scenery. Hagelin's fast pace could be good for the Canadien's, whereas Eller's strong down low play could be good for the Ducks, also while adding a better faceoff man compared to Rakell.

Why not.

2.) 24 Dec 2015 03:12:10
There both bad.

3.) 24 Dec 2015 04:16:21
That' the premise Bud, both are struggling and could definitely use a shake up to see if they can return to the form they've had in the past.

4.) 24 Dec 2015 06:15:20
Eller is bigger and younger, a polite no thank you.

5.) 24 Dec 2015 10:20:54
@piccante1
Just curious if bigger n younger is the basis of your "no" in this regard. Is it?

6.) 24 Dec 2015 15:54:10
@chirp habs don't need another small forward who isn't producing, may as well keep the one who is 6'2 and has a couple more years ahead of Hagelin.

Dallas:
Lars Eller
Alexei Emelin
2nd 2016
3rd 2015

Montreal:
Cody Eakin
Erik Cole

1.) Value and such aside.
Why would a team want to pick up 7.6m in cap hit for the next 3 years for these two guys.
Dallas would be adding at best a number 4 dman, but likely a number 5.
And they also add a third line centre. Those two positions shouldn't cost you 7.6m combined

2.) Habs pass

3.) Why do the habs pass , bagel.

Canadiens: O'Reilly
Colorado: Desharnais, Tinordi, 2nd in 2015, and another 2nd in 2016
Rumours of Desharnais being unhappy, It's being said that O'Reilly is on the trading block. I can also see Desharnais, Emelin, and a 2nd, seeing as Colorado is looking for a defenseman that is roster ready.
New lineup:
Pacioretty -- Galchenyuk -- Gallagher
O'Reilly -- Plekanec -- Parenteau
Sekac -- Eller -- Bournival/Prust
Prust/Bournival -- Malholtra -- Weise
If you disagree, make a comment about what you would change. I'm thinking that Montreal might be underpaying but let me know.

Taarr

1.) No team in the West should trade for DD. A 5'7 C would have a tough time playing against the stronger west teams

2.) Why is it unbelievable?

3.) Okay I see where you are coming from now, thanks for your input.

4.) Do you think that Lars Eller would be more appealing to the teams?

5.) More like Gallagher ,Del la Rose and Beaulieu for O'Reilly.

6.) Kinda hard to say where ROR value is right now. Looked great last season and a two player. Struggled this year so far. I'd defiantly think they would have more interest in Eller then DD. Not saying that would get you O'Reilly though

7.) O'Reilly would be a nice fit for Montreal.
DD would be better in the west than people give him credit for.

8.) Johnny Gaudreau is only 5'8" and he's performing really well in the west this year. steamer's trade is a no go. Gallagher is already a career 20 goal scorer at least, with guts and heart like no other. De la Rose will be a career third liner, the kind of player that every team needs. (Full of heart and defensive capabilities), and Beaulieu will be the 3rd best defenseman of a good team. I'm saying he'll be basically another Markov. Montreal would be overpaying for O'Reilly with that. O'Reilly's had only one really good season. Might've been just a good year.

9.) 30 Dec 2014 20:50:05
Desharnais just needs to shoot the puck more and the points will come and every team would want someone like him when he does so imo

10.) Nobody is a fit for mon

It's a well known fact that Montreal may be looking to bolster their top 6. I was wondering which kind of players do you think Montreal could go for and what realistically could the trade be?

Taarr

1.) Question is - what would they be wiling to offer up?

2.) I've heard that they've shown interest in ROR, Yakupov & they were interested in Perron, up until he was dealt to Pittsburgh.

3.) Id like them tompick up vermette to play lw of pleky if vermette doesn't want to resign with arizona

Every single traded is horrible for the top team, except for maybe the Nashville one.

Guys what team signs a player to a 6 year deal then trades them away the same year?

Taarr

Montreal just signed Gallagher to a 6 year contract. He's NOT getting traded. Plus Beaulieu has played really well recently! No way are we trading either of these players, especially for Yakupov

Quiet honestly if a team is losing positioning in a pick, they are going to want a LOT to go down and potentially get a worse player, I'd say 2-5 spots is realistic in this situation

I'm not even joking, maybe the 22-26 was a bit overexaggerated, but legitimately only 20-24 would they be able to move up. Those picks are THAT valuable
